Dates for Pokémon GO Fest 2023 announced; tickets now available for purchase with additional add-ons

GO_GOFest2023.jpgNiantic has announced the dates of the Pokémon GO Fest 2023. For this year, the event will include three in-person events, as well as a global digital event. These events are as follows:
  • August 4th-6th: London, England
    • The event in London will be available in two different locations: Brockwell Park and throughout Greater London.
  • August 4th-6th: Osaka, Japan
    • The event in Osaka will be available in two different locations: Expo ’70 Commemorative Park and in Suita City & Osaka City.
  • August 18th-20th: New York City, USA
    • The event in New York City will be available in two different locations: Randall’s Island Park and throughout New York City.
  • August 26th-27th: Global

Two types of tickets are available for purchase for the in-person experiences: the Morning Park Experience and the Afternoon Park Experience tickets. Each ticket will allow access to both the park and citywide experiences, with the only difference in the time of day Trainers will be at each location. Trainers will only be able to purchase a ticket for one day of each three-day event. Trainers are also able to purchase tickets for the two-day digital global event
  • Morning Park Experience ticket
    • London: Park experience are from 9:00am-1:30pm (BST), with the city experience taking place from 9:00am-7:00pm (BST).
    • Osaka: Park experience are from 9:00am-1:30pm (JST), with the city experience taking place from 9:00am-7:00pm (JST).
    • New York City: Park experience are from 9:00am-1:00pm (EDT), with the city experience taking place from 9:00am-7:00pm (EDT).
  • Afternoon Park Experience ticket
    • London: City experience are from 9:00am-7:00pm (BST), with the park experience taking place from 2:30pm-7:00pm (BST).
    • Osaka: City experience are from 9:00am-7:00p.m. (JST), with the park experience taking place from 2:30pm-7:00pm (JST).
    • New York City: City experience are from 9:00am-7:00pm (EDT), with the park experience taking place from 3:00pm-7:00pm (EDT).
  • Global event ticket
    • The digital event will take place from 10:00am-6:00pm local time on August 26th and August 27th.
Trainers who purchase the Global event ticket by July 5th (and play between June 21st and July 5th) will receive two different special Timed Research opportunities, while Trainers who purchase this ticket by August 1st (and play between July 15th and August 1st) will only receive the second Timed Research.

Tickets with early bird discounted pricing are available for purchase right now:
  • London: £27
  • Osaka: ¥3,000 (SOLD OUT)
  • New York City: $25
  • Global: $14.99 USD (or equivalent pricing tier in each local currency)
Trainers may also purchase additional add-ons for their ticket for the in-person events. Trainers need not purchase the add-ons with the initial order of the access ticket, and can instead purchase the add-on at a later time. The add-ons available are as follows:
  • Raid Lover
    • Up to 18 free Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
    • 5,000 additional XP awarded for completed raids
    • 6 additional Candy for catching Pokémon in 5-star and Mega Raids
    • 3 additional Candy XL for catching Pokémon in 5-star and Mega Raids (Trainers level 31+)
  • Egg-thusiast
    • 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance
    • Increased chance of receiving 10 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops and Gyms
    • 3× Hatch Stardust
    • 3× Hatch XP
    • 3× Hatch Candy
  • Citywide Gameplay
    • Get an additional day of the Trainer's choosing for the citywide gameplay experience. (Does not include additional Special or Timed Research.)
  • T-shirt Pre-order
    • Pre-order the event-exclusive Pokémon GO Fest 2023 T-shirt, and receive it in-person during the event. Each T-shirt purchased will also come with a code that can be redeemed foramtching in-app avatar item. (T-shirt quantities are limited and while supplies last.)
These add-ons are available to purchase for the following amounts:
  • Raid Lover
    • London: £16
    • Osaka: ¥1,800
    • New York City: $15
  • Egg-thusiast
    • London: £16
    • Osaka: ¥1,800
    • New York City: $15
  • Citywide Gameplay
    • London: £22
    • Osaka: ¥2,500
    • New York City: $20
  • T-shirt Pre-order
    • London: £28
    • Osaka: ¥3,500
    • New York City: $27
To purchase tickets for the in-person event, Trainers will need to follow the following steps:
  1. Go to https://tickets.nianticlabs.com/events/pgo OR Open the Pokémon GO app.
  2. In Map View, tap the Main Menu button.
  3. Tap Events.
  4. On the following page, all upcoming live events will be listed, with the soonest event at the top.
  5. Trainers will see the label "Tickets Available!" next to a first-come first-served event if it hasn’t sold out yet. Tap the event to select the date and time, and input the payment information to complete the purchase. On the payment confirmation page, please note of the order ID. A confirmation email will be sent to the address entered before payment.
Tickets for the in-person events can also be gifted to a friend, following the below process:
  1. The friends' username will be required. While purchasing, there are boxes that can be filled in with the usernames of the friends—one name per box.
  2. Tap "Add." Make sure that the spelling of all usernames is correct.
  3. The ticket will be sent. (Note: Trainers need to be at least Great Friends with the friend. All friends will receive tickets for the same date and time.
To purchase tickets for the global event meanwhile, Trainers should follow the following steps:
  1. In the in-game shop, tap the Pokémon GO Fest 2023 image.
  2. Tap the Buy button.
  3. A pop-up indicating that a ticket for Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global will appear.
  4. After tapping OK, the ticket will appear in the Item Bag.
  5. A few days before the event, Trainers will receiveamdal. When logged-in during the event hours on Saturday, August 26 or Sunday, August 27, 2023, Trainers will gain access to the Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global experience. (Please note: Trainers must log in during the event hours on both Saturday and Sunday to claim each day's Special Research story. After receiving each Special Research story, it can be completed at any time.)
