Welcome to Ilora, my fanmade Pokémon region! I'll be posting fakemon in the order I've sorted them to go in, and this order may be subject to change. Some fakemon will have new moves, abilities, or items necessary to evolve them. Because it would look weird to have the intro in the same post as the first fakemon, I will be posting the first fakemon below.

I'd like to note that some Pokémon are stated to have temporary names- These names are filler names until I find better ones. If you see a Pokémon with a filler name and you have other name ideas, feel free to suggest them. Some fakemon's types may also be subject to change.

Note that I don't expect everyone to read the useless walls of text; however, skimming through may give you a better idea of what the creatures are like. The stats and learnsets- all of which may be edited,- are below the Battle section.

The Biology section explains somewhat what they look like and general other things about them physically.

The Behavior section explains both how they act in captivity and in the wild.

The Acquisition section explains where the fakemon can be found.

The Battle section briefly covers some fanfic-y battle strategies, along with the game-like stats and movesets. I have yet to verify an exact set of TMs and Move Tutors, so, for the time being, only level-up moves are listed, which are still not final.

The whole thing may seem a bit fanfic-like, but this is somewhat intention, considering I'm planning on maybe eventually writing one or more fanfics set in Ilora.

Pricupin (Shahed; Ardgehog)

Final Name; Temp Name; Temp Name

Grass-Type; Grass-Type; Grass/Rock-Type

Overgrow

Rough Skin(Hidden)

Height: 1’02” (2’06”; 4’09”)

Weight: 10 lbs (43 lbs, 106.2 lbs)

Physiology:

Pricupin has a round, brown body, with leaf-like quills coming out its back, and similar shapes armouring its sides, along with a leaf-like tail. It has green eyes, a long, pointed nose, and rounded ears. A cream mark can be found in between its eyes and across its stomach, and its paws are cream-colored as well. Its back paws are round and digitless, whilst its front paws have three toes. It is comfortable walking on two legs or on four, though it runs much more quickly on four.

Pricupin will naturally evolve into Shahed when their father leaves them alone. They evolve into Ardgehog only during their third mating season. Pricupin and Shahed live around seven years, whilst, if they evolve, their lifespan will be extended approximately five years.

Shahed is thinner, and although it is mostly the same physically, it gains three green plates under each eye, along with several plates around its neck. It tends to lean forward to be able to quickly drop to four legs and run.

Ardgehog has more armor-like leaves, protecting its torso from all angles. Additionally, it has boots made of the same material, as well as the ever-present spines. It has something resembling a helmet atop its head, and two shoulder guards as well. Ardgehog is much more comfortable on two legs than on four; however, it is still much faster in a quadrupedal position than standing upright. Ardgehog is capable of removing quills from its back, which will promptly regrow, and using them as weapons for battle.

Behavior:
In the wild, they tend to avoid interaction with all other creatures, with the exception of mating. During mating season, the males use their larger quills to appeal to the females, and if a female does not make her decision quickly, they will fight. They do not like resorting to this; however, will if necessary. Once a male decides which female he wants to mate with, he may attack any other male that shows interest in her.

Pricupin mothers abandon their young and their mate when the infants are six to eight weeks old, while the fathers leave the children around four weeks later. This leaves a group of three to four two-month-old Pricupin to forage and survive as a group. The siblings will split up approximately a month before their first mating season.

In captivity, Pricupin often become much more friendly towards people, and will usually be able to get to know their team as long as they are not forced to join an already existing team, or they are very young when they join the team.

Pricupin eat exclusively fruits and bugs; meat is not a part of its diet. It cannot properly digest meat, and attempting to force a Pricupin to do so may result in one or more of the following things: your Pricupin being removed from your care, your license being revoked, all other herbivores and insectivores that you have captured or adopted being removed from your care, and/or your permission to collect badges being revoked. Ilora does not tolerate mistreatment of Pokemon.

Acquisition:
Pricupin can be adopted by any new trainer for free in Ilora as long as the trainer has received their license. If not chosen as a starter, Pricupin can be adopted for a small fee after eight badges have been obtained, alongside the other starter option that was not chosen. Wild Pricupin should not be caught by unauthorized trainers.

Battle:
Pricupin is rather on the defensive side, though boasts moves such as Rock Wrecker to deal heavy blows. More importantly, it specializes much more physically. It often curls up in a ball and uses its quill-like armor as both defense and offense. Because of this, strategies relying on Rollout, Defense Curl, and Bide have become the most popular for Pricupin users.
