Season of Light
Professor Willow has returned, and he's discovered a mysterious Pokémon. Throughout the Season of Light, Trainers will be able to adventure and bond with the Legendary Pokémon Cosmog, the child of the stars.
The Season of Light Special Research "A Cosmic Companion" will be available to claim from September 1st at 10:00am local time, and will remain available throughout the entire length of the season. Parts 2 and 3 of the Special Research will unlock on October 5th and November 23rd respectively.
Seasonal Bonuses
The following bonuses will be active throughout this season:
- Increased damage for Pokémon participating in raids remotely
- Guaranteed Gifts from PokéStop spins
- Increased Incense effectiveness while moving
- Up to two free Raid Passes per day by spinning Gym Photo Discs

Research Breakthrough encounters
When seven days of Field Research tasks have been completed, Trainers will receive a Premium Raid Pass and an encounter with Medicham.

A different Pokémon and special bonus will be featured every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm local time:
