Details for June 2021 monthly update in Pokémon GO announced

Pokémon Go June 2021.jpgNiantic has announced details of the monthly update for June 2021 in Pokémon GO. These events will take place between Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. to Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. PDT.

Research Breakthrough encounters
Clamperl can be encountered in Research Breakthrough encounters after completing seven days of Field Research. You will also receive a free Remote Raid Pass and twice the XP when you achieve a Research Breakthrough.

Pokémon Spotlight Hours
Taking place every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, these Pokémon and special bonuses will be featured:
  • June 1, 2021: Dwebble will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.
  • June 8, 2021: Abra will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • June 15, 2021: Slowpoke will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
  • June 22, 2021: Swinub will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for evolving Pokémon.
  • June 29, 2021: Aipom will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Featured Pokémon in raids
The following Legendary Pokémon will be appearing in five-star raids throughout June:
  • Regirock, Regice, and Registeel will be appearing in five-star raids from June 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to June 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
  • From June 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to June 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, a surprise Legendary Pokémon will be appearing in raids.

Every Wednesday, a Raid Hour event will occur from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. The following Pokémon will be featured:
  • June 2, 2021: Regirock
  • June 9, 2021: Registeel
  • June 16, 2021: Regice
  • June 23, 2021: To be announced
  • June 30, 2021: To be announced
In addition, the following Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be appearing in Mega Raids:
  • Mega Lopunny will appear in Mega Raids from June 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to June 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
  • Mega Slowbro will be making its Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids from June 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to June 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
  • Mega Gyarados will appear in Mega Raids from June 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to July 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Starting from June 1, 2021, only one Pokémon will be appearing in Mega Raids at a time.

Giovanni Special Research
Shadow Zapdos can be caught if you defeat Giovanni after using a Super Rocket Radar from June 1, 2021, at 12:00 a.m. until June 17, 2021, at 12:00 a.m. local time.

Several events are also announced for June. Gible Community Day will take place on June 6, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. From June 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. through June 13, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. local time, A Very Slow Discovery event will feature Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Slowbro, and Mega Slowbro who are making their Pokémon GO debuts. This event will be themed around lazy and active Pokémon and will include a Collection Challenge featuring Slowpoke and others. A Solstice Event will occur from June 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. through June 20, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. local time, where Trainers in the northern hemisphere will encounter summer-themed Pokémon, while Trainers in the southern hemisphere will encounter winter-themed Pokémon. More details on this event will be announced on June 16, 2021. An unknown event will happen on June 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. through July 1, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. local time, where Trainers will be able to sink their two front teeth into an unexpected event.
