Niantic has released details for the Pokémon GO Tour: Live events in Monterrey, Mexico at Parque Fundidora, and in Kaohsiung, Taiwan at the Taiwan Lantern Festival, which are being held one day after the worldwide Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event. Meanwhile, the originally planned Pokémon GO Tour: Live event in Yas Bay, Abu Dhabi has been cancelled due to the pandemic. Trainers who have previously purchased tickets for this event will receive a refund.

The following bonuses are exclusive to ticket-holding Trainers physically present in Monterrey or Kaohsiung for the Live events.

Trainers attending either of these events will receive access to event-exclusive Special Research, an encounter with Mewtwo, and item rewards. Players taking advantage of the game's AR functionality may also find a sleepy Snorlax appearing in their snapshots.

Trainers at the event will be able to encounter Ditto, and its Shiny variant, in the wild during the event. Other Shiny Pokémon will also be appearing more frequently. Trainers will also be able to participate in raids from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time against the following Legendary Pokémon originally found in the Kanto region:
Additionally, Trainers in the event locations will be able to encounter the following Pokémon in raids. Typically, these Pokémon can only be encountered in very specific parts of the world.
Tickets for the event can be purchased from the Pokémon GO Tour website, for the local currency equivalent of US$25.00.
