Details released for Pokémon GO's upcoming Oddish Research Day event on September 17th

Niantic has released details on the next Research Day event in Pokémon GO, featuring the Weed Pokémon Oddish. This event will run on September 17th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time.

Event bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:

• 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
• Increased chance of finding XXS or XXL Oddish
• Wild Oddish may be holding a Sun Stone
• Increased chance of encountering a Shiny Oddish in this event.

PokéStop Showcases for Oddish will also be running throughout the event at different PokéStops.

Field Research task encounters
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available when players spin Photo Discs at PokéStops. Completing this research will award an encounter with an Oddish, which rarely will appear in its Shiny variant.
