Details released on Pokémon GO's Content Update for April 2022

Niantic has released details of Pokémon GO's monthly update for April 2022. These events are scheduled to take place between Friday, April 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).

Research Breakthrough encounters
When seven days of Field Research tasks are completed in April 2022, Trainers will be able to encounter Alolan Marowak. The Shiny variant may also be encountered.

Pokémon Spotlight Hours
A different Pokémon and special bonus will be featured every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time:

• April 5: Stunky | 2× Candy for transferring Pokémon
• April 12: Bunnelby ⁂ | 2× XP for evolving Pokémon
• April 19: Oddish ⁂ | 2× Catch Stardust
• April 26: Sunshine Form Cherrim | 2× Catch XP

Raids
Raid rotations all start and end at 10:00 a.m. local time on the dates listed unless otherwise noted.

Featured Raid Pokémon
The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids in April 2022:

• Until April 5: Tapu Lele
• April 5 - April 12: Therian Forme Thundurus ⁂
• April 12 - April 26: Tapu Bulu
• April 26 - May 3: Therian Forme Landorus ⁂

Raid Hours
The following Pokémon will be featured in a Raid Hour event on every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time:

• April 6: Therian Forme Thundurus ⁂
• April 13: Tapu Bulu
• April 20: Tapu Bulu
• April 27: Therian Forme Landorus ⁂

Mega Raids
The following Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be appearing in Mega Raids in April 2022:

• Until April 5: Mega Charizard Y ⁂
• April 5 - April 12: Mega Manectric ⁂
• April 12 - April 29: Mega Pidgeot ⁂
• April 29 - May 3: A new Mega-Evolved Pokémon will make it GO debut

Weekly 1 PokéCoin bundles
Every Monday in April, a one-time-purchase bundle containing a Remote Raid Pass and other items will be available in the shop for 1 PokéCoin.

Upcoming events
Several additional events were also announced for April 2022. Stay tuned for details about these upcoming events.

• April Fools' 2-Oh?-22: We've heard some odd whisperings that a mysterious event will be happening on April 1st.
• All-Hands Rocket Retreat: Additional sources report the potential for heightened Team GO Rocket activity from April 3rd to April 7th. Stay alert!
• Spring into Spring: Get ready to jump headfirst into spring with this themed event from April 12th to April 18th.
• Sustainability Week: Trainers will be able to reflect on the importance of sustainability while another Pokémon originally discovered in the Alola region makes its Pokémon debut from April 20th to April 25th
• Stufful Community Day: Trainers will encounter Stufful, the Flailing Pokémon, for the first time in Pokémon GO, more frequently in the wild. Its Shiny variant can also be encountered.

Other feature updates
A new adventure sync widget will be available for Android devices in early April, when enabled, players will now have the option to add a widget to their device's home screen to track progress when hatching Eggs. This feature is already available on iOS devices.
