Detective Pikachu sequel finally gets a name, trailer, and release date! Detective Pikachu Returns will release worldwide October 6th

Detective Pikachu Returns - Key Art
After first being announced all the way back at the May 2019 Pokémon Press Conference, the Detective Pikachu sequel has finally received an official name, as well as its first trailer and a release date to boot. Detective Pikachu Returns will be released worldwide this year, on October 6th.

The new game will see players once again stepping into the shoes of Tim Goodman and his coffee-loving partner, the hardboiled Detective Pikachu. The Detective duo will work together to solve a string of strange incidents across their home of Ryme City, where humans and Pokémons live and work side-by-side. Getting help from other people and Pokémon along the way, players will slowly uncover the origins of the great Detective Pikachu himself.
