Día de Muertos event returns to Pokémon GO for 2022

Niantic has announced that the Día de Muertos event for Pokémon GO will be returning for 2022 from November 1st at 10:00am to November 2nd at 8:00pm local time. Día de Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, is a holiday observed in Mexico and other parts of the Americas that celebrates the lives and memories of friends and family who have moved on to the next world. In this event, Duskull, Dusclops, and Dusknoir will each be wearing a cempasúchil crown.

The following event bonuses will be active during Día de Muertos:

• Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for 90 minutes
• 2× Catch Candy

A Día de Muertos Collection Challenge will also be available. Trainers who complete the challenge by the end of the event will encounter an Alolan Marowak, and receive a Poffin and an Incense.

Additionally, several Día de Muertos avatar items will be available to purchase in the in-game shop during this event, and will continue to be available after the event ends.

Finally, Trainers in Latin America and the Caribbean will have increased chances of encountering featured event Pokémon, on top of the regular event bonus that remains open to Trainers worldwide.
