It'll be interesting to see if any of the first three movies launch digitally around the time of the DVD/BD release in Australia next month. This release makes it more likely in my mind.

I think the Australian release is probably not going to influence releases elsewhere. It was about Beyond getting the Australian distribution rights from Warner Bros. (who still has them in the US), not some change in TPCi. On the other hand, the 20th anniversary could help.

Also, it's worth noting that the first 3 movie have been made available via Pokemon.com in the past.

I hope that Hoopa and the Clash of Ages and Genesect and the Legend Awakened eventually release on iTunes in the UK. They are the only films which haven't been released in any format in the UK. I think Hoopa and the Clash of Ages is more likely to be released on iTunes sooner than Genesect and the Legend Awakened because they seem to be focusing on the Kalos and Hoenn anime series at the moment.

The whole situation is a bit murky (did you get some information directly from Beyond there?)-from what I know, WB's rights to sell them expired 10 years after the theatrical release date (in the case of 2000, there's a specific date in 2010 it vanished off iTunes US), so any rights they still own aren't sufficient to put the movies out by themselves. Like you said, they did show on Pokemon TV, so clearly some movement is taking place.
