Yeah, wouldn't it be Sinterklaas where you come from? Pretty sure they're considered separate characters now, but I don't know for sure.

Yep. And they are different characters. When I was little not many parents told their kids Santa Claus was real (they only said Sinterklaas was). It seems to have changed over the years though, appearently a lot of my little sister's classmates are now being told both are real.

I've never believed in Father Christmas because I've always helped to buy/wrap presents for others and it was always clear that we were getting gifts for and from each other, not some big fat weird chimney-prowling guy who would've had no way into our artificial fireplace anyway. >__>

I do not currently believe in him, although I can't remember whether I did believe in him or not as a child.

I do. And I'm nineteen years old. ... what? Why do you look at me like that?

Lol of course we all know the "truth" :p but when I see how my little sister's eyes light up when she finds presents that weren't there before... it makes me wonder, does it really matter if he's real or not? The happiness in my sister's face, that's as real as real can be :)

My parents insisted he was real until I was about eleven. One Christmas, I rigged up a camera and took a video of them putting the presents under the tree. They kind of stopped after that.

I believed in Santa until I was in third grade. I heard a bunch of kids talking about how they found out Santa wasn't real, and I didn't want to look like an idiot, so I pretended like I already knew. Little did they know, that my thoughts were darting back and forth.

My mom still puts, "From: Santa," on the expensive presents, despite the fact that everyone in my house are now legally adults.

Nope. Never did.

Since I'm not Christian, I don't even believe in Christmas! (Two weeks ago was Eid al-Fitr, which is the holiday my family celebrates.)

I have never believed in Santa Claus, the jolly, fat man in a red suit who puts gifts under the Christmas tree, but I have always believed in Santa Claus, symbol of gift-giving and generosity that is especially abundant in the Christmas season.

I never really did. I wasn't brought up with the dilusion that he did exist. I used to see my mum putting my presents in the closet months before hand and she made no lies about Santa paying for 'em :b

man, yea he's real. I went to the north pole and kicked it with him, the elves are all pretty cool actually. His wife does nothin but nag him though I feel bad for him. I visit him about once every three years. He said the reason I stopped getting presents is because he was scared to show up wearing gang colors in the neighborhoods I was living in, and all he has are red coats, so I ain't mad at him.

Serious answer? No, because I'm not a Christian, so I wasn't brought up with that belief.

Not so serious answer? Yes! He's actually Finland in disguise! And he's going to give Germany porn this year!

Nope.
I'm not religious so I don't "believe" in Christmas but it's so ingrained in American culture that I don't want to be that guy so of course I take part in the festivities.
