Pansage should've been Panseed, imo. It makes slightly more sense, and I'm sure most people would understand were the "seed" part of its name comes from in contrast to "sage" (which I just recently figured out the meaning of ._.).

I'm fine with most of the English names this generation except for Purrloin. I'm not too sure how to pronounce it, but looking at it I immediately see "loin" and think of steak.
For me, Pokemon with regards to their nomenclatures (naming) ever since was an animation history. Pokemon (TM) already created hundreds and counting Pokemons. but there are Pokemon names that I don't really like or it stinks or it annoys me, more than what it showcased to the viewers.
When the anime was starting before I wonder where did the authors/creators got theses names. I thought of naming Pikachu to be Micelectric (Mice + Elecric) and Bulbasaur to be Whippuse (Whip + Lettuce) so funny..
