Do you have bad luck with Shinies?

I have had horrible luck.

I've encountered two randomly.
One of which was a Gyarados, so now that one's not special.
(The other is now a Machamp)

Either way, I lost the cartridge that they were on.
FML.

My sister and brother have managed shiny Caterpies, and shiny Roselias...

Me? In LeafGreen, I found the Red Gyarados fishing outside of Pallet Town. Thrash ended confusing it into a coma. Sure, it has like no value, but it would have been nice.

I definitely have bad luck with them! I never find them! And on the small chance I do, I either 1) don't have Pokeballs, 2) all of my Pokemon are too high leveled to attack it, or 3) I get a critical hit and its gone. I've only managed to find shinies in a few earlier games, but that was it. I hacked some in diamond. I have not found a single shiny in Black or White.

I found a shiny Bibarel in the Great Marsh.

1. Bibarel is quite difficult to catch in the Great Marsh because it is an evolved Pokémon.
2. They run away in the Great Marsh (I failed to catch it).
3. Who wants a Bibarel anyway?

Glad to see that this didn't only happen to me. I ran into a wild Red Gyarados in HG...

Aside from that I've been okay with shinies, though I more or less keep getting ones I don't want.

out of 8 pokemon games and playing for like 8 years ive found just ONE shiny: a tentacool in firered. but of course i restarted the game without transferring it aywhere -_____-

No! Shinies love me and I love them! :3 Once in SS I was fooling around in the safari zone until a shiny Gastly showed up. And the best part? I had merely one pokeball left. So, I prepared myself for the worst and threw that pokeball....and I caught it! I was so happy afterwards
