Pokemon GO - Solstice Horizons
The Solstice Horizons event has started in Pokémon GO, featuring a collection of Pokémon associated with day and night. Coming up mid-next week, Team GO Rocket's back! in a new takeover event focused on Shadow Regirock.

Solstice Horizons event
The Solstice Horizons event is running until June 25th, at 8:00pm local time. During this event, Lunatone and Solrock are both appearing in the wild, regardless of location.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses are active throughout the event:
  • 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
  • A special Solstice Box is available in both the Pokémon GO Web Store and from the in-game shop. This bundle comes 3 Remote Raid Passes, 9 Super Incubators, and 9 Golden Razz Berries
Special Research - Starry Skies, starring Cosmog
Special Research

Trainers level 5 and above can receive Starry Skies, a new Special Research story starring Cosmog, until June 25th, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can also purchase the same Research for US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency) to encounter Cosmog again. After receiving the Special Research, it can be completed at any time.

Collection Challenge and Field Research task encounters
An event-themed Collection Challenge is available as part of the Solstice Horizons event. Completing the Solstice Horizons Collection Challenge will award Trainers with Stardust and an encounter with Fomantis. Several Solstice Horizons–themed Field Research tasks are also available. When these tasks are completed, Trainers may earn rewards or an encounter with Fomantis.

Team GO Rocket Takeover - Giovanni & Regirock
Team GO Rocket's back!

Team GO Rocket will once again be taking over Pokémon GO next week, from June 21st, at 12:00am local time through to June 25th, at 11:59pm local time. During the event, Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloon. Trainers will also be able to use Charged TMs to help any Shadow Pokémon they free from the clutches of Team GO Rocket forget the charged attack Frustration. Upon purification, Frustration is replaced by Return as the Charged Attack.

By completing a Special Research story running as part of this event, Trainers can earn a Super Rocket Radar to locate and battle Giovanni, who will be using a Shadow Regirock. This Special Research will be available to claim until the end of the current Hidden Gems Season on September 1st at 10:00am local time. Trainers who defeat Giovanni will be given a chance to capture Regrock.

Event Bonuses
The following event bonuses will be active during the event:
  • Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.
  • Use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.

  • Shadow Ledyba
  • Shadow Hitmontop
  • Shadow Glameow
  • Shadow Gible
  • And more
These Pokémon that Trainers save from Team GO Rocket Grunts may be Shiny Pokémon.
