SwSh Dynamax: Thoughts, Feelings, or Concerns

It only lasts three turns though, Mega Evolution lasts the whole battle.

That's not why people say it's overpowered, though. Generally, the problems that people note with Dynamax are that it doesn't require a held item or any other equivalent drawback (and subsequently that it bypasses the Choice Band/Scarf lock), and that certain Max Moves are able to very quickly create a snowball effect.

Though I think those issues are more commonly cited in Singles play rather than in Doubles, where I've heard it's more manageable. Personally, I also think it's balanced quite well for Max Raids.

I feel like it would have been neat if the gigantamax forms are converted into megas in the postgame. Perhaps through a refinement of Eternatus' energy so that they can be carried around as the Pokemon's held item for use outside the stadiums. Visually, it could be a simplified form similar to the Gigantamax though Gigantamax in all its upscale glory can still be used in the stadium. It just feels like such a waste how aside from all megas that are no longer available, these gigantamax forms will also not be available anymore come next generation.
