easiest/hardest genre for a writer who is starting out.

I don't think there's much of an objective difference in the difficulty of various genres. I'd say it comes down to what any individual writer is comfortable with, which is mostly influenced by the kind of media they consume. Like for me I can pound out action/adventure stuff like it's nothing, but horror or romance stops me dead in my tracks. Yet I know plenty of people who have the opposite problem.

If you want to write something "easy" then write what you read a lot of. Similarly, if you want to get better at writing something you find challenging, try reading more of that genre.
