English Pokemon Stadium 2 and Spanish GB games

Hi all. Has someone here played pokemon stadium 2 with different language (non japanese) GB games? My case in particular is an english Pokemon Stadium 2 and a spanish Pokemon Crystal. I've been wanting to buy the nintendo 64 game, but I can't find information about the compatibility. All I know is that it doesn't work when one of the games is japanese, and that trading/battling between english and spanish games is possible when using only game boys and a link cable. Any information is appreciated. Thanks for reading.
