Episode Predictions

There might be a Cinnabar Island or Mt. Chimney episode soon, the latter is more likely due to it being featured as the key landmark in the original poster. It could also be Mt. Ember due to the bird trio being featured, though idk if they'll introduce it in Kanto or the Orange Islands.

And yeah, I did consider Wela Volcano as an option but it feels too small to be Akala, not to mention that Alola is supposed to be more sunny (see the shot with the Alolan friends in the new OP).

My money is on Cinnabar because of the fossil Pokemon hanging out in the corner. Not to mention all these people look like tourists which calls back to OS where Cinnabar was a tourist trap.

♪Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild♪

If Gou is getting Aerodactyl like the opening hints I suspect (based off this apparent park or whatever) that instead of capturing a wild one he might find an Old Amber and get one cloned, though maybe it'll be some kind of fossil Pokémon Safari Zone.

Not an in-depth prediction like some, but judging by precedent we'll probably get an episode with Pikachu and some of the other protagonist mon separated from Ash and Gou and having to work with Meowth--I think we got variations of that everywhere except maybe in Sun and Moon.
So my thought is maybe this episode will give us that Dragonite/Meowth interaction from the first opening/that early image showing off the different regions.

I keep blabbing about an episode centered around the Wallace Cup, so I figured I'd write out an idea for it. This would definitely be a multi-episode arc; this would just be the first episode that sets everything up.

A Grand and Miraculous Meet and Greet!

Professor Cerise tells Ash and Goh about a big contest, the Wallace Cup, that this year is being held in Slateport City of the Hoenn region. Goh comments that he's never seen a contest before, to which Ash excitedly explains the basic concept to him and that he's got friends who are Pokemon coordinators that have previously competed in the Wallace Cup. Goh is interested in checking it out, so he and Ash decide to head to Hoenn in order to attend.

When they arrive, Goh is amazed by all of the people there. Ash explains that because whoever wins the Wallace Cup can use the ribbon in any region's contests, it is very popular for coordinators from all over to travel to in order to compete. Somebody suddenly calls Ash's name, and he's shocked to find that it's May! He runs over to her and exclaims that it's been such a long time, and presumes that she must be here to compete, which May confirms. Goh is confused until Ash introduces the two and explains that he and May used to travel together, and that she's one of the coordinators he was telling him about. May says she's waiting on a few other friends who are also competing, and Ash wonders who aloud. He's surprised all over again when Dawn and Serena show up, and they are just as surprised to see him! A bemused Goh guesses that they all traveled with Ash as well. Dawn says that she had met Serena at a contest a little while back, and the two had bonded before they were even aware both knew Ash, which then lead to her introducing Serena to May as well. Serena adds that she's really been enjoying competing in contests and has learned a lot about herself and her Pokemon from them, and especially from May and Dawn.

While Goh is fascinated by how many friends Ash actually has, he's even more interested in seeing what exactly goes into an appeal. May offers to show him an example, which instantly enraptures Raboot. Goh notices how excited his Pokemon is, and decides to enter the contest himself. Dawn goads Ash into entering as well, informing a confused Goh that Ash had previously entered the Wallace Cup back in Sinnoh and actually did pretty well. Goh snickers that there's still a lot about Ash he doesn't know, to which Ash laughs nervously.

The girls take Ash and Goh to register for the Wallace Cup, and in the lobby Ash sees even more familiar faces: Drew, Harley, Solidad, Zoey, Kenny, and Ursula. He asks the girls if they knew all of their rivals were going to be there, to which May says they've all been very competitive on the regular contest circuit and had all vowed to meet up at the Wallace Cup. Ash wants to go say hi to all of them, but Goh convinces him to register for the contest before they do anything else. Once they are all registered, they meet up with the rvials, who are all properly introduced to Goh and explain what they've been up to since they last saw Ash. Goh states that it's amazing how something like Pokemon contests can bring so many different people together, even across regions. Although Harley begins to taunt him, Serena agrees with the sentiment, saying it's part of what she's really come to love about contests. While Zoey concurs, she says that doesn't mean they're going to go easy on each other. Ash comments that he forgot how exciting this could be, and that he's getting fired up for the contest to begin the next day!

Episode 40: Meeting the Metal
After reuniting with his friends in Alola,he visits Kukui who told him that he has discovered that Melmetal can Gigantamax. So Kukui asks Ash to visit Magnolia in Postwick to learn more about the Gigantamax Form.Ash and Goh agree and with the permission of Cerise they set off to Galar.
Episode 41:Get the stick of the Rambunctious!
Ash and Goh visit Postwick to learn about Melmetal's G-Max Form. They also encounter Sonia who shows the lab to them.Ash then notices a sad Grookey and asks Sonia about it.She says that it has lost its stick so it is said.Ash then cheers the Grookey and helps him find a stick. After that, the happy Grookey gets overjoyed and plays with Ash and Magnolia says Grookey wants Ash to be his trainer to which Ash happily accepts.

Where is Nando at?

Where is Nando at?

Okay true story: I wrote out that whole entire thing and after I posted it, realized I didn't include Nando, lol.

I guess I wasn't actively thinking about him since he wasn't exclusively into Contests, but I would not opposed to him showing up as well :p

This image of Ash's Alolan friends makes me think we'll get an episode where Ash travels to the Alola region to do things like taking up the position of the Masked Royal at the second Manalo Conference, show all of his former classmates his party in Journeys, et cetera...

Wow you are so late into the party....
Well, sorry if I'm so late into the party, but I've been thinking of an episode where Ash and Goh travel to the Alola region... BTW, this makes me think Goh will show his Raboot and Sobble to Mallow and Lana when he travels to the Alola region with Ash.

Episode 63 - Machamp, a Gigamax battle
Ash and Goh are in the Wild Area in the Galar region when they stumble upon Bea again. She is looking for a Machamp that can Gigamax.
Episode 64 - Enter Grookey, the Mischievus Monkey
Goh catches a Grookey.
Episode 65 - Nessa, the Raging Wave
Ash is challenging Nessa, a Water type specialist too battle. She accepts. Ash stands a huge challenges, after he defeated 2 of her Pokemon with Pikachu alone. But then, Pikachu and Dragonite get defeated by her Gigamax Drednaw. Ash sends out Farfetch'd, who evolves and wins.

Go enters the PWC: after watching Ash win another World Championship battle he decides to enter as well. He has his first Nomral Rank battle using Raboot. Possibly Raboot's evolution episode

Someone posted a hilarious theory so I decided to make an entire episode focusing on it.
Episode 37: The Reluctant Ash and the Exaspareted Goh
Ash wins against Bea but the actual reason ,he gets depressed is because he caught Femchu and Pikachu is busy romancing her and not paying attention to him.Ash thinks this is due to him because he didn't let Pikachu battle against Bea.This makes Goh angry and he......
