Cogita waited.

It was what she was good at. She had been put there to wait for the one with the mission, the one appointed by Arceus who would fall from the sky and someday require her help.

Her pupil had brought that one to her, and finally, her time had come. The sacred knowledge passed down from the era of the Celestica people, a people she barely remembered and yet whose memories she clung to so fervently because she had nothing else to cling to, was finally to be spoken.

And yet it did not free her of her burden. The Lost One was gone, presumably returned to their own time but she couldn't be certain. Her pupil was gone, and she told herself that she didn't care what had happened to that scoundrel but in truth missed him as the only other of her kind, regardless of what he had done. He would have died a long time ago anyway, criminal or not.

Even Enamorus, the embodiment of spring, was rarely seen any more. Hisui had become Sinnoh, the land given the name once believed to be that of the great almighty, and the land she once believed would only ever be a home to pokémon was now vibrant with humans.

But still, her burden had not been lifted. She remained the same age she had been all that time, unchanging, undying, outliving everything.

Perhaps if she could see the Lost One again, in their own time. Perhaps some grand, divine loop could be closed.

So Cogita waited. It was what she was good at.
