GO EVENT (OVER) - Windy Weather Event (March 5th - March 16th)

The conclusion of Legendary Week has ended and Rayquaza has emerged victorious! As a result, the following bonuses will be available this week.

• Pokémon that prefer windy weather will hatch more often from Eggs (Psychic, Flying, and Dragon Types)
• Pokémon that prefer windy weather will spawn more frequently in Raid Battles
• Double XP until March 16th!
• Special boxes will remain in the shop until the 11th, so make sure to grab them!
  • Special Box - 3 Lucky Eggs, 6 Premium Raid Passes, 6 Razz Berries - 480 Coins
  • Great Box - 8 Lucky Eggs, 6 Max Potions, 10 Premium Raid Passes, 6 Pinap Berries - 780 Coins
  • Ultra Box - 25 Lucky Eggs, 10 Max Potions, 10 Max Revives, 20 Premium Raid Passes - 1480 Coins
  • Super Incubators are also available, for 200 Coins each.

Alright, so I bought some Coins so I could get an Ultra Box and Bag/Storage Space in preparation of this event. Currently stand at 26 Lucky Eggs and 25 Premium Raid Passes.

GOALS:
>Get as much XP as possible. As for how we do that:
>>Do as many Rayquaza Raids as possible, paricularly ones close to each other that can be done in a single Lucky Egg's duration. Mass evolve in between. The rest of the time, gather up mass evolve fodder.
>>>Hit Level 39. This is a really easy one, honestly. So here comes the interesting part
>>>>Hit Level 40. A really bold goal that's barely achievable on paper if I buy an extra Ultra Box, in practice it might not work out though. I'll still try it as much as I can, worst case scenario I just make some good progress anyway.

I was a bit uneasy over putting money in the game but eventually decided to do it. This is a really good chance to gain some good XP and more Rayquaza Raids are great regardless.

I'm excited for this event too! I need to stock up on some evolvable mons to use during lucky egg sessions. Will be doing a ton of raiding over the weekend.

Update: Now Level 39, 3.300.000/5.000.000 XP on the way to 40.
Started with 23 Rayquaza Raids, now at 102. Which means I've done a whooping 79 Rayquaza Raids in the event so far Which is a big chunk of the 5.5 million XP I've gained so far, helped up by grind/mass evolutions.

I ended up going 4/12 on Rayquaza. He was really tough for me to catch, at one point I thought I wasn't going to get him! The best one I got was 91%, and I'm pretty happy with that I'm trying to do one more evolution wave so I can get to 35!

By event end I did hit my goal of Level 40! Took me 108 Rayquaza Raids, though.

I'd say this event was a pretty wild ride and it cost me a fair share of Premium Raid Passes, but I most certainly enjoyed it. Now I can stop caring about XP for real.
