First off: this is my second attempt at starting an RP, so please bear with me if I mess up.

Plot:
The Pokémon World had always been a fairly peaceful one. People were happy and lived good lives. Nobody lived in poverty. Everybody had access to clean energy and water, be it thanks to man-made devices or thanks to their Pokémon. Until nuclear energy was discovered.

Nuclear energy meant a dramatic change in the Pokémon world. Towns could grow much bigger now. Vehicles could be propelled by this novel form of energy. And it had amazing destructive powers.
While the Pokémon World had not been without conflicts, everything was small-scale. The Unovan government, realizing what nuclear energy could do in the wrong hands, attempted to seal it away, much to the chagrin of the other regions. What ensued was a diplomatic, then military, crisis. Soon, Hoenn and Sinnoh got their hands on nuclear energy. In turn, Johto, Kanto and every other region. Unova sought to reclaim their technology. The conflict escalated and the regions went to war, employing some of their newly-discovered, unique technology such as the Unovan power armor and laser rifles, as well as genetically-altered Pokémon with augmented abilities, made for battle. Until on one fateful night, September 17th, 2034, Hoenn sought to remove the Unovan threat by means of nuclear fire. Unova retaliated. Then the Johto-Kanto alliance. Then Sinnoh. Until after two hours, the rain of nuclear warheads ceased. The Pokémon World was no more.

Until 2074, when the Vaults opened. Humanity slowly started reclaiming the land. Then, from 2086 onwards, it went faster and faster. Until a specific day. October 13, 2103. The Unovan Wasteland is about to change forever. Scavengers have found a crashed flying machine transporting men clad in black power armor decorated with Unova's Old World sigil, and a single word. ''Enclave''. Nobody knows what this means. Nobody wants to know. Except for a few brave scavengers and the Plasma Brotherhood, who want to find out what is happening.

A few years later, it became painfully clear what this organization's intention was. To rid the Wasteland of all non-pure humans and mutated creatures. To purify the land. To make it ready for colonization by pure-strain humans.

You're not a part of this grand scheme of things. You're just a bystander, invited by the Brotherhood to help find the Enclave. Along with a colourful group of other volunteers, you will set out on a journey, led by the Plasma Brotherhood, to find and destroy the Enclave. To protect the wasteland. Maybe you don't agree with the Brotherhood. Maybe you like the Enclave, want to join them. Maybe you just want to get the hell out of there, first chance you get. Maybe not. It's up to you.

The Aspiring Wastelander's Guide to The Post-Apocalyptic Unova

Post-apocalyptic Unova is a hostile place. Many of its pittoresque towns and great cities have been reduced to rubble and ash, flayed by the great sandstorms and poisoned by radiation. Here is some general information about the new factions and towns.

Factions:

Eastern Unovan Republic

A nation taking its first breath, the EUR resembles Unova as it was before the war; rapidly developing, peaceful, and bustling with life and trade. For a complete history lesson, every EUR politician will be happy to talk the ears off your head for the next 2 days. The EUR has a complete army of its own, dedicating to expanding the country and protecting EUR citizens.

Plasma Brotherhood

What once was Team Plasma is now the Plasma Brotherhood; a quasi-religious organization originally founded to preserve and protect Old World technology. In the past decade, the Plasma Brotherhood has grown into an altruistic organization protecting the Central Unovan people, while sealing away any Old World technology they come across. The Plasma Brotherhood is, according to current knowledge, the most technologically advanced faction in the Unovan Wasteland, having access to energy weapons, power armor, and Old World robots.

Central Unova

Mostly independent, but forms a loose army when needed. Similar to what Hoenn was before the war, for example. Loosely organized, and a relatively safe place full of ups and downs.

Independent

And of course, there's always the independent people living in Southeastern Unova and The Divide.

Locations:
Nuvema Town

Not important enough to have been targeted, Nuvema town is a true refuge for all of Unova's citizens who survived the grueling journey to the town. Located on the south-east corner of the region with only one actual entrance to the town, it is very defensible, and is currently one of the few independent towns.

Accumula Town

Accumula Town has been annexed by the Eastern Unovan Army as a refugee camp, housing refugees from Striaton City and all those around it. Burdened by the influx of refugees since mutated Pokémon started pouring out of Pinwheel Forest and Nacrene City, the EUA doesn't allow any other refugees to enter the town, leaving them outside to die.

Striaton City

Once an independent town like Nuvema, even having its own militia, it has been overrun by mutated Pokémon for a few months now, and the new inhabitants have cut off Accumula Town from the central EUR. Striaton city is avoided by travelers and a constant concern for the EUR.

Nacrene City

Post-apocalyptic Nacrene City doesn't even remotely resemble the old town; it has been completely ruined by mutated Pokémon, and is overgrown with plants. It is currently considered part of Pinwheel forest.

Pinwheel Forest

Barren and inhospitable. Home to some of the wasteland's most horrible abominations.

Skyarrow Bridge

Skyarrow Bridge did not survive the war, and as such the south-eastern corner of Unova is only accessable by heading south through the forest north of Nacrene City and Striaton City.

Outer Castelia

Outer Castelia encompasses the docks and most streets bar Castelia Street. The docks are overrun with Feral Ghouls, while the streets resemble a pre-war ghetto, filled with proud locals and refugees alike. Outer Castelia has its own militia which keeps the streets safe, along with supporting GameFreak Co. robots.

Castelia Street

Barely touched by the nuclear war due to Castelia City's unique defensive system located in the Entralink, which protected Nimbasa City as well. Castelia Street is where the elite of post-apocalyptic Unova lives in the lap of luxury, protected by GameFreak Co.'s powerful defensive robots.

Nimbasa City

Nimbasa City is one of the more prosperous wasteland cities, owing to the good trading routes and the presence of the Plasma Brotherhood's Central Unovan headquarters there, who keep critters and raiders alike out of the city.

Driftveil Drawbridge

Most of the bridge's struts have remained intact, and serve as small docks for the rafts sailing between The Divide and Central Unova.

The Divide

A scarred, hostile, radioactive landscape. Where once cities prospered, there now is nothing but cracked landscape, scarred by nuclear fire, only inhabited by some of the horrendous creatures of post-apocalyptic Unova. The Divide is where much of the Old World sleeps, covered by ash and sand, flayed by sandstorms. The Divide is also home to some of the biggest horrors known to post-apocalyptic Unova, avoided even by the Plasma Brotherhood. Rumor has it an abandoned missile base is buried underneath the cracked rocks of Twist Mountain. Inhabited by a unique species of ghouls named Marked Men.

Driftveil City

Like Mistralton city, Driftveil was a priority target for the Hoenn Military, and has burned in nuclear fire. It currently makes up the southern portion of what has been nicknamed the Divide, a barren, poisoned, radioactive landscape filled with mutated Pokémon and ghouls.

Mistralton City

Similar to Driftveil, Mistralton is nothing more than a barren, hostile landscape, poisoned by nuclear fire. It makes up the southern half of the area nicknamed the Divide.

Twist Mountain

Not much is known by Twist Mountain. The dare-devils who had the guts to walk The Divide and survived all met their fate here, or so a tale says. Rumor has it an abandoned missile base lies here.

Iccirus City

While technically not a part of The Divide, what once was Iccirus City is still as inhospitable as the actual Divide. According to a tale told in many bars in Outer Castelia, a gang of hardy ghoul raiders have their base here, killing off anyone who has successfully crossed the Divide.

Tubeline Bridge

Tubeline Bridge has remained partially intact, and has been preserved remarkably well due to the lack of people crossing it.

Opelucid City

Another one of those mysteries of the wastelands. Those who claim to have visited it tell fascinating tales of humans clad in black power armor and amazing flying machines, all decorated with the Old World Unova sigil, which has led most to believe that this may very well be the Enclave's home base.

Lacunosa Town

Horribly scarred by nuclear fire, Lacunosa Town is now nothing but a snowy plain, flayed by horrible blizzards and scoured of any and all human life by what are rumored to be Enclave soldiers equipped with high-tech Old World energy weapons.

Undella Town

The home of the Eastern Unovan Republic, Undella Town prospered after the Vaults opened and the EUR was founded. Protected by the EUR's army, Undella Town is a peaceful place, bustling with trade, where ghouls and humans alike live in harmony.

Black City

Annexed by the EUR, Black City is but an empty shell of its former Old World glory, being reduced to rubble. Under EUR rule, Black City has prospered, despite constant mutant attacks coming from the forest to the south.

Pokémon League

A mystery of the wastelands. Nobody knows what happens here. Rumored to be an Enclave base.

Vaults

Vaults were the huge underground shelters built to preserve humanity. This is where all Wastelanders come from.
Vault 3

Vault 3 is located in the Desert Resort. Sealed for 40 years, after which the door opened. The combination of an overstocked armory and a population made up of ex-Team Plasma members resulted in what now is the Plasma Brotherhood.

Vault 7

Located underneath Castelia City. Sealed for 40 years. Vault 7's inhabitants quickly restored Castelia City to some of its Old World glory.

Vault 12

Supposedly located between Driftveil City and Mistralton City, Vault 12 was, according to Vault 7's records, home to one of the Old World's most impressive supercomputers. However, the Divide has swallowed Vault 12, and it is merely an urban legend these days.

Vault 19

Located near Undella Town. The inhabitants of Vault 12 founded the EUR, currently the only actual nation in the Unovan wasteland.

Vault 22

Located just north of Nuvema Town. Significantly smaller than other vaults for some reason. Remained sealed for 40 years.

Vault 25

Located just east of Driftveil City. An urban legend, the door has jammed due to a direct hit by a nuclear weapon. The fate of the inhabitants is unknown. The Plasma Brotherhood has a vested interest in this vault for some reason.

Vault 0

Another legend, supposedly located south of the Pokémon League. The Elite Four and their relatives were sealed here. Supposedly home to a very powerful supercomputer, similar to Vault 12's.

The rules: Live them, love them, eat them

1. Standard RP rules regarding posting apply: No godmodding, no inappropriate content, try to keep one-liners to a minimum, etc.
2. Try to keep OOC posts to a minimum. There's a discussion thread for that.
3. No extensive tennising between users (i.e. constant posting between two users). This is annoying for other users and it makes it hard to keep up with business for them. A little bit is okay, but if it starts filling pages then you're going too far.
4. Sub-plots are okay. Just don't make them hijack the entire RP.
5. This is a pretty violent RP, so obviously not an RP for pacifists. If you don't like violence, don't join.
6. Romance is allowed, just keep it PG-13. If you do feel ever so inclined to release your perverse fantasies in the form of RP, do it in the PMs.
7. This RP is very open. You can go everywhere, do everything, as long as it is within common sense. I'd also like for the group of characters to still stick together somewhat.
7. If you read the rules, put the word ''potato'' in your form. Just don't make it too obvious.
8. I'd like at least a paragraph for personality, history, and appearance in your character app. Not a req, but definitely a pro.
8. Always have fun!

SU Form:
Name: obvious. Your character's name.

Gender: also obvious.

Sexuality: asexual, bisexual, heterosexual, homosexual, pansexual?

Age: obvious. Bear in mind that Ghouls are usually pretty old.

Race: maybe not so obvious. Is your character a normal human, or is he or she a ghoul? Maybe something in between? A Marked Man/Woman?

Faction: is your character a member of any faction? Bear in mind that characters born in EUR towns are automatically an EUR citizen.

Hometown: speaks for itself.

Primary skills: loosely based on Fallout's Tag Skill system. What does your character excel at?

Personality: speaks for itself, I think.

Appearance: what does your character look like? What does he or she wear?

History: also fairly obvious. What did your character do up until this point? Is he/she a peaceful citizen, or a gutsy Divide wanderer? Or something else?

Pokémon partners: has your character befriended any Pokémon along the way?

Inventory: what kind of weapons does your character lug around? What kind of aid items?

Other: any footnotes? Drop 'em here.
