Fashion Week returns to Pokémon GO for 2022, starting September 27th

Niantic has announced details for the 2022 edition of Pokémon GO's Fashion Week event, which this year will be running from September 27th at 10:00am through until October 3rd at 8:00pm local time. During the event, trainers can look forward to encountering a variety of Pokémon wearing fashionable costumes including Diglett, Dugtrio, Absol, and Toxicroak.

The Brutal Star Pokémon Mareanie and Toxapex will each be making their debut during Fashion Week. 50 Mareanie Candy is required to evolve Mareanie into Toxapex. Alongside this debut, the in-game shop will also be having a sale on a selection of new avatar items inspired by Mareanie and Toxapex. These new items will continue to be available after the end of Fashion Week.

Timed Research
A selection of Fashion Week-themed Timed Research will be available throughout the event. Trainers who complete these research tasks will earn items and encounters with the following event-themed Pokémon:
  • Diglett wearing a fashionable costume ⁂
  • Absol wearing a fashionable costume ⁂
  • Croagunk wearing a fashionable costume ⁂
Pokémon
Furfrou, who made its Pokémon GO debut during 2021's Fashion Week event, will be able to be encountered in its Shiny variant for the first time during Fashion Week 2022. Additionally, trainers who take snapshots during the event may have surprise encounters with Pokémon wearing fashionable outfits.
