I voted for Shiftry, but I also really like Sceptile and Gourgeist. I like all their designs (and I love Gourgeist's typing), but I went with Shiftry because I've used it the most out of the three.
Sceptile is one of my favorite Grass types. It's so cool. And the anime and manga made it even cooler in my eyes. How the design evolves, and then its Mega evolution.
Torterra comes in for second place. Because of how awesome of a land turtle it is.
Jumpluff. Just because it was invincible in GSC with Sleep Powder and Leech Seed. It looks cute, and it was my favourite Pokémon of Generation II, together with Crobat, but he's not a Grass type obviously.
I remember those good old days where it took down all of the gym leaders apart from Falkner by itself. That's why I had one in my team in HGSS, and in my X version, just because I felt it was necessary.
Other Grass types I like are Torterra, he looks badass. And Cradily, although I don't know why exactly? It just has something about it that I like.
Shiftry, Serperior, Roserade, Trevenant, Ludicolo, Cradily, Mega Abomasnow, Mega Sceptile, Vileplume, Whimsicott, Tangrowth... Way too many cool Grass-types.
Shiftry and Serperior are by far my current favourites though.
Lilligant. I love it's design, and some of it's moves are really useful, even if it doesn't learn any viable non-grass attacks. Torterra is a close second.
