My second favourite is probably quilava.

I like Wartortle the most (more than the other two in that line), then Grovyle (though I do like Sceptile as well), then Quilava (I love Typhlostion, too).

Ivysaur and the Johto group. In fact, Bayleef/Quilava/Croconaw are the only middle stage Pokemon that I think actually look fantastic. I'm biased in favor of Ivysaur though.

Charmeleon and Wartortle are decent but unremarkable. And really, the Hoenn and Sinnoh groups are ugly as hell (yes, even Grovyle). Thank God for their evolutions.

I like more than two so my favorites from both gens are:

Kanto: Wartortle. Look at it's tail!
Johto: Quilava. The only decent one imo
Hoenn: Grovile. Same reason as Johto.
Sinnoh: Monferno. Combusken's typing done right.

Overall: Grovyle. Combusken isn't too far behind though.
Honarable mentions go to Ivysaur and the 3 from Johto :3
