Favourite cities/towns by region

Kanto: Vermillion

Johto: Ecruteak

Hoenn: Pacifidlog, Fortree

Sinnoh: Canalave

Pallet Town in Kanto.

The town in Jhoto with the Bellsprout Tower.

Hoenn is Slateport City.

Sinnoh is Jubilife City.

Kanto: Probably Cinnabar, because of its location, and the lab and mansion are cool

Johto: New Bark Town is extremely nostalgic

Hoenn: Sootopolis city has great music and an amazing design. Its just beautiful.

Sinnoh: Sunyshore music has good music and an interesting design, and is located right next to an ocean

Ishhu: Dont know yet. Probably some tropical place.

Kanto- Saffron City
Johto- Goldenrod City
Hoenn- hoenn is shit. the only good city is lilycove
Sinnoh- Hearthome and Sunyshore
Unova- Castelia City and Hodomoe City

Cities with skyscrapers rule

Kanto - Saffron City, just looks cool
Johto - Never set foot in Johto so I don't know
Hoenn - Lilycove City, lots of stuff to do
Sinnoh - Sunyshore City, upbeat music and nice layout
Unova - Haven't played yet

Favorite cities:
Kantō: Celadon. For the Game Corner (until it became crap in HeartGold) and the shopping.

Johto: Goldenrod. I like big cities.

Hoenn: No opinion. I haven't really played any Hoenn games start-to-finish, so I can't form a real opinion on my "favorite" Hoenn city. Though Sootopolis is a pretty creative concept; they should have more like it.

Sinnoh: Jubilife. I basically live in the GTS.

Kanto: Cinnibar Island. Mainly for all the cool stuff there.

Johto: Goldenrod City. Close proximity to the National Park and Daycare Center make it prime for hatching Pokemon eggs.

Hoenn: Lavaridge Town. A good place for midgame training.

Sinnoh: Solaceon Town, mainly because I love doing the newspaper side quest.

Unova: Castelia City, since it's pretty much a heavy dosing of scenery porn.

Kanto: Vermilion City. I like cities near the sea. The sunset is a massive plus too.

Johto: Ecruteak City. Very historical city and it has awesome music.

Hoenn: Slateport City. A market right next to the sea is pretty cool.

Sinnoh: I don't really like any of the cities but Snowpoint City is alright.

Unova: I haven't played it yet but Castelia City and Raimon City look fantastic.

Kanto: Cerulean for its music and the proximity of Cerulean Cave.
Johto: Blackthorn for its secluded location and Clair, my favourite Johto Gym Leader.
Hoenn: Sootopolis for its underwater entrance and music theme, as well as the giant tree (in OR/AS).
Sinnoh: Eterna, for its music theme and the statue of a legendary Pokemon.
Unova: Humilau, as it reminds me of Pacifidlog Town.
Kalos: Laverre, for its otherworldly feel and music theme.
Haven't played Generation VII and VIII yet.

Oh boy! Let's-a go!

Kanto: Fuchsia City. It's got a zoo. Kid me thought that was super neato. I just learned that the fossil pokemon in the zoo is the one you don't pick in Mt. Moon which could mean this is where that NPC took it afterwards! Adult me thinks the strange colored paths in HGSS are super neato.
Johto: Ecruteak City. Morty's there. PRETTY FALL TREES. I love fall trees. Especially orange ones. So the area around the towers is super pretty to me. Also, Morty's there.
Hoenn: Sootopolis. It'd be really interesting to live there and the house designs are really interesting. I would swim every day. Also Wallace. The king himself.
Sinnoh: They all sort of bleed together to me. I've never gotten to most of them and even looking at pictures on bulbapedia I can't help but go eh. So Imma cheat: The Diamond Settlement in Legends Arceus. Because. again. FALL TREES. PRETTY FALL TREES. PRETTY ADAMAN- I MEAN FALL TREES. Also I like the pokemon here. I would go make friends and chill with the croagunk in the little water pool area.
Unova: Floccesy town looks like a nice chill place I'd live at. I really like the old clocktower.
Kalos: Laverre City. You might see a pattern here. PRETTY FALL TREES!!! GIANT PRETTY FALL TREE. GIANT MUSHROOMS ON GIANT PRETTY FALL TREE. The gym is a massive dollhouse. I love dollhouses. Magical fairy tales yes.
Alola: Malie City... because its got a sushi place and I love sushi way too much and the park there is pretty.
Galar: BALLONLEA. THE ULTIMATE MAGICAL FAIRY FANTASY TOWN. THE HOUSES ARE SO CUTE AND THERE IS GIANT GLOWY MUSHROOMS EVERYWHERE. I would have so many impidimps. And I would probably be lost to the Glimwood Tangle on my second day.

Kanto: Celadon City. It has a department store, a game corner, condominiums, and a small park with a water fountain. It's just a very vibrant city.
Johto: Ecruteak City for its fall leaves and Japanese vibes it gives me, though I also like New Bark Town, Azalea Town, and Goldenrod City for their sublime music.
Hoenn: Lilycove City. It has a contest hall, a museum, and a department store.
Sinnoh: Hearthome City, it has a contest hall, apartments, Amity Square to walk with your Pokemon, and the city is just comfy to visit. I also like Eterna City for its music.
Unova: Aspertia City for its beautiful music and stunning lookout and I also like Flocessy Town for its clock tower. That's about it. Tbh, Unova is a freaking boring region, some of the towns are visually bland ... Mistralton looks like a small airport and nothing else, Accumula Town is merely a collection of plain white buildings. Of course, the entire region isn't bad since B/W2 added some neat locations, though I never liked Unova because it was too urban for my liking. The region doesn't appeal to me that much because I found it dark and industrial.
Kalos: Laverre City for its enchanting music and fairy tale theme. Plus, the mushrooms and fall trees were gorgeous and spellbinding. In addition, I like Lumiose City because it has a museum, a hotel, cafes, and restaurants.
Alola: Malie City. It has a library and a beautiful garden. Plus, it reminds me of Johto and the music is sublime too.
Galar: Ballonlea. It's breathtakingly enchanting. I was amazed by the glowing mushrooms and fantasy theme it has. Hammerlocke is my second favorite for its medieval theme.
Paldea: I LIKE ALL OF THEM, the cities in Paldea are stunning! Artazon is my favorite for its artistic vibe with all of the Sunflora Statues and other artworks. I also liked the maze, the windmill, the pool, and the jungle gym. In addition, I adore Mesagoza because it looks like Barcelona, and there are lots of shops to explore and an academy. There's also a musician who plays lovely music on her guitar at Mesagoza. I also liked all of the alleys you can explore around the city. My third favorite is Montenevera for its lovely music and spooky candles.

Kanto: Cinnabar island! It's a freaky, hot place that belongs to a freaky eccentric and I guess I like both (arid things and eccentrics).
Johto: Mahogany town cause of sweet Team Rocket memories
Hoenn: Mauville, I only wish it was more steampunk inspired
Sinnoh: Pastoria, I like the routes there the most but I must admit that more mountainous Oreburgh is a close contender
Unova: Driftveil. It may not be the most stunning but I feel the most at home here. Huh, I am actually beginning to see a pattern: I tend to like mostly industrial towns and some lonely/lazy resort towns and nothing much apart from that
Kalos: Lazy, arid resort town Ambrette. Also, a shootout to that industrial wasteland route where you challenge team Flare. One of the most atmospheric places in the whole franchise.
Alola: Akala island, in particular Hano resort hotel area. I love it to bits and especially an encounter with certain Aether guy there haha... Honorable mention: the whole Blush mountain and Electric trial/gym on it. I just love it, the guys living there. I consider them my friends and again, one of the most atmospheric place imo.
Galar: Motostoke, my love
Paldea: I still haven't decided!

Kanto : Celadon. Department Store and Game Corner, Cycling Road could help with hatching Eggs without having to push a button all the time... Saffron, Cerulean and Fuchsia all easily reachable without having to deal with wild Pokemon...

Johto: Goldenrod. Again Department Store, I really liked part 2 of 3 in the Rocket story, you enter (disguised in remakes) through the underground into the secret backdoor of an area to deal with rival plus a crime organization and save a hostage... Then just sneak into a store's basement being like "don't mind me I got lost lol can I use the elevator and leave please" and casually leave through the front door as if you are some random customer :)

Hoenn : In the originals Mauville, Game Corner and being close to Daycare and part of the straight line... In ORAS Battle Resort (and Frontier in Emerald)

Sinnoh : Veilstone, did I mention I love department stores? Also more villain team hideouts with secret basements and keys etc etc

Unova : Nimbasa, way too many facilities, but especially the rematchable trainers in the courts, subway, and in the 2s Join Avenue. Also Driftveil is super easy to get to and has Heart Scales and PWT etc. There even was a cool NPC in route 5 for money stuff.

Kalos : Kiloude. It feels like Sinnoh's Resort Area done right. I unfortunately hated Lumiose with a burning passion, seriously, so big you had to pay taxis to get you to places that were otherwise easy to miss. Nooope.

Alola : Hau'oli I would say, although all of Heahea Male and even Seafolk Village are cool.

Have not played Galar and Paldea yet, but I would guess Hammerlocke and Mesagoza from what I have seen in videos and anime etc

for kanto, i'd say lavender town... i've never played kanto in full so i don't have any particular feeling associated with the towns, i just think the creepiness of lavender town is fun.
for johto, ecruteak city! i think it's really pretty and has lots of personality.
for hoenn, i think it's probably mauville. i first played hoenn with oras, and i remember spending a lot of time wandering around in mauville, talking to people on the rooftops and wandering around in the halls. i just have lots of fond memories! lilycove is a strong contender too, though, just because i adore the music.
for sinnoh, i also haven't finished the game yet, but looking at the bulbapedia page i think snowpoint city might be my favourite on looks alone? i just really like the snowy cities.
for unova, i Also haven't finished the game, but at the moment it's probably castelia city. i think it's pretty creative in how they did it in black/white, i liked wandering around and talking to people... i don't know, it's fun all around! even with burgh's hellscape of a gym (all of my pokémon are weak to bug).
for kalos, it has to be lumiose city. i spent a looot of time there when i played pokémon x as a kid, wandering around in the stores and buildings and getting lost in the alleyways no matter how much i played the game. i remember being fascinated with the ghost girl mystery they put in lumiose, and also spending lots of time in that... video-making? or perhaps photo-making? building that was in lumiose. and with the clothing store that you could only get into with a certain amount of fashion points! i just had tons of fun in lumiose; it's probably the city i'm most fond of in the entire series.
for alola, probably hau'oli city here too? apparently i really like cities. i think i spent a lot of time here in my first sun/moon playthrough as well. the other cities of alola are probably cooler, but i just feel more fond of hau'oli, so i think it takes the place of favourite.
for galar, i don't really think i have one, but if i had to choose, probably circhester. as i mentioned, i just really like the snow cities, and this is the first one that comes to mind when i think of galar.
for paldea, i haven't played the game but i've watched a playthrough, and i think the one i liked the most was montenevera for the aforementioned snow reasons.
