First images of DP?

So...is that an official Nintendo website claiming this?

Presumably the images of the Regis were actually DS Screenshots - but for the promotion, not of course for D/P... As those are certainly DS quality lower-rez models of the XD/Colosseum Models...

Maybe that does say something about D/P afterall?

Very likely not, but meh

The site now says:

Update: It appears that the following screens are not of Pokemon Pearl and Diamond, but of a special DS Download available at a special screening of the eighth Pokemon movie. We'll keep you updated when more information becomes available, and we apoligize for the mistake.

Regardless of what those are... They're REALLY ugly... Both the graphics and actual design. Ugh.

Dear lord I hope they don't go 3D for Diamond/Pearl, because sprites look so much better and 3D on the DS is craaap

I dunno. Super Mario DS and Nintendogs looked really good.

64bit 2D is Teh Awesome - you can do so much more with it than you can on the standard 32bit for 2D.

64bit 3D is iffy. If it were on a console it'd be pretty ugly. However, since it's on the low resolution DS it looks pretty smooth, a lot better than the N64 could ever pull off.

Those images, taken from a DS for the promotion thing, are blown up and are without the backlight. Believe me, there's not a single good screenshot of any game for the DS - you REALLY have to see it in action on the machine to see how it turns out.
