Fossil Pokémon's original typings

We all know that Fossil Pokémon are all at least part Rock-type. Bulbapedia's article on them suggests that this may be due to the method by which they are obtained in-game. If this is the case, then their original typings may very well have been different back before they died out. Looking at Pokémon like Archen and Amaura, I'm inclined to believe this is the case. What types do you think they had before they became fossils?

My opinions:
Omanyte/Omastar: Water
Kabuto/Kabutops: Bug/Water
Aerodactyl: Dragon/Flying
Lileep/Cradily: Water/Grass
Anorith/Armaldo: Water/Bug
Cranidos/Rampardos: Normal
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Steel
Tirtouga/Carracosta: Water
Archen/Archeops: Dragon/Flying
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dark/Dragon
Amaura/Aurorus: Ice

My opinions:

Omanyte/Omastar: Water
Kabuto/Kabutops: Bug/Water
Aerodactyl: Dragon/Flying
Lileep/Cradily: Water/Grass
Anorith/Armaldo: Water/Bug
Cranidos/Rampardos: Normal
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Ground/Steel
Tirtouga/Carracosta: Water
Archen/Archeops: Flying
Genesect: Bug/Flying
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dragon/Dark
Amaura/Aurorus: Ice

Here's what I think the original typings would have been:
Omanyte/Omastar: Water
Kabuto/Kabutops: Water
Aerodactyl: Dragon/Flying (Aerodactyl has a really draconic design, not to mention Lance uses it)
Lileep/Cradily: Water/Grass (They're based on crinoids, which live in the ocean)
Anorith/Armaldo: Water/Bug (Again, based on anomalocaridids, which lived in the ocean)
Cranidos/Rampardos: Normal (Non-avian dinosaurs were common when they were alive, so they would have been Normal-types just like how Tauros or Bouffalant are)
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Normal (Same reason as the above, but I think they gained their Steel-typing through being reinforced by fossilization)
Tirtouga/Carracosta: Water
Archen/Archeops: Normal/Flying (Same as the above dinosaurs)
Genesect: Bug
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dragon
Amaura/ Aurorsus: Ice

I think that the only ones who keep their Rock-type are the ones with shells (Omastar, Kabuto and Tirtouga and the evolutions), mainly because they have hard shells that justify the Rock-type, though with a reverse combination (Water/Rock). As for the others...

Aerodactyl: Dragon/Flying
Lileep/Cradily: Water/Grass
Anorith/Armaldo: Water/Bug
Cranidos/Rampardos: Dragon
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Steel
Archen/Archeops: Ground/Flying
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Normal/Dragon
Amaura/Aurorus: Dragon/Ice

Thanks for reading.

Omanyte/Omastar:Water/Rock
Kabuto/Kabutops:Dark/Bug
Aerodactyl:Dragon/Flying
Lileep/Cradily: Grass
Anorith/Armaldo: Bug/Dark
Cranidos/Rampardos:Rock/Dark
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Normal
Tirtouga/Carracosta:Water
Archen/Archeops:Flying/Dragon
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dragon/Dark
Amaura/Aurorus: Fairy/Ice

Omanyte/Omastar:Water/Dark
Kabuto/Kabutops: Water
Aerodactyl: Flying/Rock
Lileep/Cradily: Water/Grass
Anorith/Armaldo: Bug/Water
Relicanth: Water/Ground
Cranidos/Rampardos: Steel/Dark
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Steel
Tirtouga/Carracosta:Water
Archen/Archeops: Dragon/Flying
Original Genesect: Bug or Bug/Dark
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dark/Dragon
Amaura/Aurorus: Ice/Fairy

The gen one ones remain the same.

The rest are the same type sans rock, meaning pure flying etc.

I forgot about Cranidos, I suppose normal works. Especially looking at the moveset, it's like a normal one. It gets Thunderbolt, like what!

Here's what I think!
Omanyte/Omastar: Water
Kabuto/Kabutops: Bug/Water
Aerodactyl: Flying/Rock (I do think it was originally a rock type, or it may have been a Normal/Flying)
Lileep/Cradily: Water/Grass
Anorith/Armaldo: Water/Bug
Cranidos/Rampardos: Normal
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Steel/Fighting
Tirtouga/Carracosta: Water/Rock (I also think this was originally rock too)
Archen/Archeops: Flying
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dragon
Amaura/Aurorus: Ice

I do believe some were originally rock, like I've stated.

Omanyte/Omastar: Water
Kabuto/Kabutops: Bug/Water
Aerodactyl: Flying
Lileep/Cradily: Water/Grass
Anorith/Armaldo: Ground/Bug
Cranidos/Rampardos: Rock
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Steel/Ground
Tirtouga/Carracosta: Water
Archen/Archeops: Flying/Normal
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dragon/Dark(Was surprised to see I was not the only one to list Dark as a type for this pokemon)
Amaura/Aurorus: Ice

I tried to base this off of some of their real life so called counterparts that these pokemon seemed to be based off of, that said the types didn't really change much other than just dropping the rock type from said pokemon.

Omanyte/Omastar: Water/Rock
Kabuto/Kabutops: Water/Bug
Aerodactyl: Dragon/Flying
Lileep/Cradily: Grass/Water
Anorith/Armaldo: Water/Bug
Cranidos/Rampardos: Rock
Shieldon/Bastiodon: Steel
Tirtouga/Carracosta: Water/Steel or Water/Rock
Archen/Archeops: Dragon/Flying
Tyrunt/Tyrantrum: Dragon
Amaura/Aurorus: Ice/Fairy
