Fusion Battles​

In a distant future technology has advanced to great heights in the Pokemon world, some of this advancements have contributed to both the way people and Pokemon work together as well as the competitive world. Synthesis Apps, a special feature added into people’s devices, these feature allows a Trainer to scan his or her Pokemon, turning them into energy similarly to how a pokeball does before giving its power to its trainer in the form of a powerful armor that allows the trainer to fight and use abilities similar to Pokemon.

The people that use these features to fight alongside their Pokemon are called Warriors. Warriors help out in different fields utilizing their powers. Warriors can take part in special arena battles and competitions, during these battles they are given specific ranks, each one determining a Warrior’s own merit as well as the difficulty of the matches that they can participate in.

And now it’s your turn, as a Warrior you’ll be able to do a lot of things, help people, compete against others and accomplish goals you never thought you could do. All it requires is to work together and bond well with your Pokemon.

Hello everyone, welcome to my new RP. Well I can’t exactly say new, the idea for this RP was actually one I’ve tried multiple times so basically this will be the new installment. In this RP you’ll be thrust into a distant future where (as you read) you’ll play as one of these Warriors, people that can use devices with an application called Synthesis App that allows a Trainer and Pokemon to fuse with one another, with the Pokemon taking on the form of an armor that its trainer can use to fight against other Warriors in competitive battling.

The way these fights go is that a Warrior is able to take on the powers of the Pokemon it fuses with, this includes both its strength and weaknesses (typing and the like) and is able to use abilities and attacks similar to that Pokemon’s or even create new attacks based on the Pokemon’s own abilities

The rankings for Warriors are split into Rookie, Knight, Champion, Master and King, with King being a ranking given to only the best of the best, the Warriors that have managed to win the Fusion Battles World Championship once every two years.

Essentially this RP will have a competitive aspect but it’ll also have a plot that’ll develop as the story goes on, but your character’s involvement in the story will also affect things greatly.

-No godmodding

-No tennissing: I’m kind of lenient on this one as long as you don’t overdo it, if a page goes by between just two people talking then I’ll intervene

-The GM's word is law, and the Moderator's law is even higher. If one of these two tell you to do something, please don't make a fuss.

-No fighting: ingame it’s fine but please don’t go after people outside of the game and don’t hold the things that happen in game to other people, at least to the point of treating them badly.

-No Bunnying: don’t control other people’s characters unless you get their permission

-And lastly, all BMGf rules go.

Appearance: Valerie has fair skin with long straight blond hair that goes down to her back. She has a pair of blue eyes and freckles on the sides of her face along with a scar on the side of her ribs. She has an athletic built with underlined abs and has a slightly curvy figure.

Personality: Valerie is a quiet but very fun loving person, usually keeping her thoughts to herself but also liking to have her own fun with others. She-s very caring about her friends but also can be a bit strict and stubborn to talk with when she’s in a bad mood. She’s very smart as well and has a good head on her shoulders.

While fighting in the Arena however she becomes completely cold, taking on a new persona that she’d prefer not to show to anyone she knows. During battle she’s calculating and takes advantage of any chance she gets to win, not caring about what kind of method she uses.

Appearance: Michael has short almost crew-cut black hair with brown eyes. He has a thin but defined build and stands at 5’9 with dark skin. He wears a pair of contact lenses that have replaced his old round glasses that he used to wear as a kid.

Personality: Michael is pretty shy and easy to overlook due to preferring to stay away from attention, mostly out of nervousness for messing up in front of others. He however is a very determined individual, willing to try whatever it takes to accomplish anything when he sets his mind to it. He’s not much of a physical fighter but does have some decent martial arts training given to his sister, though he’s still someone that prefers to talk things out when situations get too dire.

He’s smart and studious while also liking to learn new things in any given field, sometimes to the point he even does multiple things at once like trying to play a game while watching a movie and listening to music (causing him to not get anything from what he’s doing), but overall he pays a lot of attention to the people he cares for as well as his Pokemon.

Background: Michael was born into a normal family, growing up with his father, mother and older sister. His father was a professional Warrior and was well known before he became heavily injured. The injury caused him to have to stop fighting and the subsequent fallout eventually led to him running away from his family.

After that it was up to Michael’s mother to provide for them and their newly born little sister, that was until his sister turned 17 and began to take on Fusion Battles like her dad had done. She showed great talent and grew quickly, becoming a professional in no time and eventually reaching the rank of Master.

Now at 18 Michael has decided to participate in Fusion Battles as well, trying to follow on his sister’s footsteps.

Personality: Aria is a rather shy individual, and often blends into the background like a ghost. She has a hard time making friends, and doesn't know very much about socializing properly. Though she has a seemingly transparent feel to her, she can get someone's attention if need be. Aria is not one to back off from a fight, and her impressive prowess in kickboxing is nothing to scoff at. However, she is reluctant to use her combat skills unless it's truly required.

Background: She's rather tight-lipped about it.

Appearance: Camille has olive colored skin, brown hair in a short, tomboyish chin-length cut and brown eyes that are unnervingly cold and empty. She stands at exactly 6' tall with a toned athletic build, and wears dark-colored short-sleeved shirts, athletic shorts, combat boots and studded leather gloves.

Personality: Most people wouldn't know how to describe Camille if they tried. She constantly tries to keep to herself, and when forced to interact with other people, she becomes sarcastic and constantly expresses her views about something in the most cynical manner possible, all in an attempt to make people not want to be around her. If spoken to about something, she generally responds with the first thing that comes to mind, which is always true in her eyes, but is almost never meant to be taken as a compliment. The reason she tries to drive people away is her all-around competence, which most people take advantage of by seeking her out for help. She's good at battling, both with and without Pokemon, technology, cooking and is just all-around knowledgeable on most subjects. She's seen behaving much more pleasantly with Pokemon, which boils down to her having never been taken advantage of or betrayed by one.

Personality
Confident, almost to a fault. Her abilities are exceptional, and she knows that. She typically goes into battle feeling as though the battle has already been won. Losses, while few and far between for her, tend to make her think hard. Every incorrect maneuver, every misplaced move, every nuance - all things are analyzed. Being an incredibly detail-oriented battler, she is quick to leverage the abilities of her Pokemon to their fullest. Her apparent lack of fear in nearly any situation extends only toward her peers; those with a higher rank are regarded with more caution. Despite her being a bit arrogant at times, she's more than willing to acknowledge anyone's power.

Appearance: Long black hair that goes just past his shoulders and usually covers the right side of his face. His left eye is a golden amber and rather than a right eye or ear, he has scarring. He is around average height with very pale skin. For clothing he wears black tops under a black trench coat, black pants tucked into black combat boots. He likes black, and wears a black eyepatch over his missing right eye.
Personality: Kuro is playful and likes to joke around, but he can be quite serious when it comes to pokémon or those he cares about. He is very blunt and straightforward, even crude sometimes. However he surprisingly knows proper etiquettes, and if he wants can act the part of an aristocrat. Despite this ability, he does not actually like the upper class much. He loves history, and is glad to help others, often acting like a teacher. Don’t let this fool you though as he is quite knowledgeable about pokémon outside of the simple things of types.

Appearance: Bella is average height with long sand colored hair and hazel eyes. She wears lace up brown boots with blue jeans tucked into them, a long sleeved black shirt, and a sleeveless white hoodie. She also wears white fingerless gloves.
Personality: Bella is open and doesn’t hide her opinion. She is always looking to learn new things, and is quite cheerful a lot of the time. However she doesn’t like being looked down on. She cares greatly about pokémon, more so than humans, and craves learning about each and every one. She especially likes learning about fossil pokémon and wants to collect them all.

Appearance:
(Physical): He has a height of 5'09", a scruffy mop of jet black hair, tanned skin, an old scar on his lips that looked like he cut himself on something jagged and irregular, and icy blue eyes.


(Clothing): Adorned on his head is a pair of ionized goggles, and a necklace of what looked like Sharpedo teeth was draped from his neck. He has black leather gloves with a symbol of a eye with a flame coming out of the pupil on the back of his hand, as well as a long-sleeved black shirt that has a stylized eye on the sternum, and orange lines all over the shirt, as well as black slacks with orange lines going down to the cuffs, to which overhang deceptively sturdy dress shoes. Holding his pants up is a brown belt, and is wearing a Key Stone-embedded pendant, with said pendant in the shape of an eye with eyelids.


Animus also has a assortment of hooded short-sleeved parkas/vests, with matching decorative belt buckles.

Self-Made Spirit
This one is [his/her] most often seen coat, and it resembles the combination of a dress coat, complete with lapels that have orange as their main color, with the fringes also being orange. THis accompanying belt buckle is a oval-like face with black eyes.


Dueling Heavens
This one resembles a Japanese warlord's coat, only crimson-colored. The hoodie of this coat also has a fake sword handle made to resemble a chonmage, with the chest pieces also sporting actual iron. This coat is also heat-resistant to up to a 1,000°F, and can resist small blades. This accompanying belt buckle is a diagram of two crossed katana.


Center of Gravity
This one resembles the most like a parka, due to its bulky shape and bright blue color scheme. While certainly designed to keep one warm in the colder months, it also can be given weights in certain spots, allowing the wearer to do weighted training. This parka also comes with bright blue boxing gloves that are tied to the parka with enough length that it can wrap around the wearer's arms and not impede reach. This accompanying belt buckle is a diagram of an arrow pointing at an apple.


Spark of Tomorrow
This one looks as if the material was an impractical and gaudy chrome-colored cloth, especially with the lightbulb halves on the arms and the bolts for buttons, but this coat is actually insulated to dampen any Electric-typed attacks that is aimed at the wearer, with what metal made with this coat being non-conductive. This accompanying belt buckle is a diagram of a lightbulb.


Woodsman Outlaw
This one resembles a bit like it should belong in a Renaissance fair, with the fake Zapdos feather sticking out of the hoodie all the more compelling. Like the others, this coat is not any mere coat, as it is lined with a Kevlar-like material, allowing it to absorb small ballistic rounds. It also helps masque the wearer's scent when in the woods. This accompanying belt buckle is a diagram of an arrow nocked in a bow and tilted in a way to resemble a mask. When wearing this coat, Animus also has a green-rimmed, white-lens, facial expression-capable mask.

Personality: He has a playful streak to him and can also be quite mischievous to boot. He has a flippant streak as long as a Wailord, and is quite likely to mouth off if given reason and has lost his temper; otherwise he is a patient soul.


Background: Animus was born into a prominent yet bizarre family notoriously known for living rather boisterous lifestyles that ranged from testing cannons on a daily basis at moving unsuspecting objects to being as silent as possible to scare the wits out of anyone. Animus is no exception. Animus was trained to be a warrior from birth, he having extensive knowledge on various types of weaponry, hand-to-hand combat, and survival skills due to his mother wanting her baby to be safe by wanted to make sure Animus can handle himself if he gets kidnapped for ransom and possibly seriously hurt them, and thanks to his high learning curve in his field, he managed to learn and master the martial arts and survival training. It also helped that his mother and father did not pull any punches in his training, not even when they accidentally caused that lip scar.


Pokemon: All were given to him by one of his many aunts-in-law Tamamo, one of the best breeders in the business.

Appearance:
(Physical): She has a height of 6'03", sun-kissed blonde hair that she keeps in a ponytail, pale skin, a 32C, long-shaped face, broad shouldered, has a muscular build but nothing too specialized, covers her left eye with eye-patch with a jagged scar running down her left cheek, with her remaining eye being dark blue in color.


(Clothing): She mainly a navy blue short-sleeved shirt, black slacks, sneakers, orange hand guards, a yellow-colored belt, and orange light-weight samurai-styled spaulder pieces, if shaped like the halves of an orange.


She also has black eye-patches marked with different emblems on it, taking on the form of a sunflower seed, a pinecone, a walnut, an acorn, a muskmelon, a pineapple, a strawberry, a orange, a banana bunch of 3, a bunch of grapes, a watermelon, a mango, a durian, a kiwi, a lemon, a pair of cherries, a peach, a cantaloupe, a dragonfruit, a metallic orange, a circle of various fruits, a red bunch of grapes wreathed in green fire, a cherry blossom, a red rose, a dandelion flower, a red tulip, a sliced blood orange dripping blood, a golden apple, a silver apple, a black apple, a dark red apple, and a circle with a half moon design. The creepy part is that the more spherically-shaped emblems seem to "move" much like how a normal eye would. Behind the eyepatch, however, is a false eye implant, but this implant has a Key Stone embedded into it.





Personality: Hard as nails, Touko is a woman of few words and action. Cold, proud and aloof, she is not one to to be crossed with, as she can be really vicious in a fight. She also doesn't suffer fools gladly, and hates having her time wasted. That being said, she does have a code of honor and ideals, and refuses to stray from them. She also softens up around certain people after awhile.


Background: Touko was born in a traditional Ecruteakian family where “might make right” and a “stern tree makes a most formidable opponent to even the forces of winter”. Raised in this cold, and at times loveless, environment, Touko prospered through sheer will and determination, and trained herself to become a formidable warrior in her own right and to raise her Pokémon to follow suit. Because of passing down her training regimen to her Pokémon, Touko became soon became known as a formidable trainer by 16, facing any opponent without fear, touring the world to show her cold finesse at 14.

During her time in Unova’s Pokémon League Tournament, she suffered a horrifying accident that robbed her of her beloved Scyther, Murakumo’s right blade-arm and her left eye. Despite this gruesome accident with facing a Mega Metagross, Touko pleaded with all her might to continue the match, and almost died from the blood loss despite her close-call victory. Now without her eye, she began retraining to compensate for her missing eye.

Name: Rico Delacruz
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Rank: Rookie

Appearance: Rico is thin and lean with black hair, dark brown eyes and tanned skin. He wears a pair of thin-framed glasses when at home, but he switches these out for contacts when he knows he's going to be doing physical activity. He dresses casually, rarely seen in anything more than ratty jeans, ironic t-shirts and beat up sneakers.

Personality: Rico is a few things, but the easiest to notice is that he is a quiet sort. One would mistake this for being meek, but this is not the case. He is fearless and hyper-observant, his intellect allowing him to spot patterns that few people ever could. He is kind and loyal but he's a man of few friends.

Background: Rico wasn't supposed to be a battler, far from it. His few Pokemon were pets and friends, not warriors. Instead, he had always been a prodigy of sorts in the more academic sense. From a young age he was a chess champion and a mechanical genius. As he grew older, people took notice and he had entered university at the age of 12. Graduating at 15, the sky was the limit. And then one day he had decided that he had enough. No more chess, no more tinkering, he wanted something new. So he threw himself into the sheer opposite of what he had once done. Battling. He needed a new challenge.

Name: CJ Borrero
Gender: Male

Rank: Knight

Appearance: With olive skin, deep, chocolate colored eyes, and dark, almost black, brown hair, CJ takes on an almost exotic look. He is somewhat slender (not sickly slender though) and stands at an average 5'10. In terms of hair, CJ usually keeps his hair short, but with the bangs long so he can either slick it back, gel it to the side, or if he's feeling a little more adventurous that day, style it into a short fauxhawk.

Personality: CJ exudes an aura of warmth, to most others he is one of those people that you immediately want to have coffee or hang out with. CJ lives up to these expectations for the most part, he is friendly, inviting, and caring (Which probably comes from the fact that he is the oldest of 5 children). CJ can also be a bit of a wiseguy, it comes naturally to him and is hard for him to turn it off, especially when he has a wit almost as quick as he is physically.

Background: CJ grew up in Dewford Town, Hoenn and lived an easy life with his mom, dad, and four siblings. It's somewhat odd how CJ started as a Warrior, in all honesty it was an accident, CJ was supposed to be taking a pokeball designing course in his college but he somehow messed up the time and got there an hour early, when he entered the class their was an interest meeting for becoming a Warrior going on. CJ quickly grew interested and took his accidentally stumbling into this meeting to be a sign from Arceus, so he dropped out of college and set out on the path of a Warrior.

Pokemon: Persian, Greninja, Aerodactyl (if allowed, with a mega stone), Jolteon, Ninjask, and Weavile.

Other: CJ relies more on speed than he does strength, though not weak, his agility far outmatches his own strength. As such, his pokemon are also based on their speed.

Name: Amelio Salamanca
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Rank: Rookie

Appearance: 6'01 with a slender frame, Amelio doesn't give off the vibes of an intimidating Warrior. Tan skin and short hair make up the rest of his appearance, with clothing usually being regulated to tank-tops and jeans.

Personality: Confident is a word that doesn't quite suit Amelio. Not because it's wrong, but because it's not strong enough. Amelio has the pride to keep himself tall no matter how low he may be, with his head held higher than he actually is. Though not mean-spirited or rude, Amelio is willing to do whatever it takes to make it to the top. Friendly and upbeat, Amelio is quick to shake hands and introduce himself, but is not afraid to push aside anybody who would stand in his way.

Amelio is concerned with one thing, and one thing only: becoming the champion. Anything else is only a distraction to this goal. He pushes himself farther than most to attain this goal, but he is far from strong at this early stage. Even still, he's not inexperienced, and he's willing to prove himself to advance as far as he can in the ranks.

Background: Amelio comes from mostly humble origins. Though his family used to be into the battling scene back in the day, his father was the last one to partake before giving it up, instead deciding to retire at an early age. Though Amelio's parents are against the idea of competitive sport for Amelio, Amelio thinks otherwise.

Name: Danny Cridland

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Rank: Rookie

Appearance: Hazel redish eyes, thick eyebrows, black hair that resembles like Chris Pratt's hairstyle, no facial hair, couple of freckles on his cheeks, green braces, childish looking, yet tall and bold (about tall as a basketball player, but not too tall) and white patsy skin. Wears nerd clothing (like jeans, tees, black shoes) and has a tattoo on the back of his right hand resembling a Seviper.

Personality: Is very childish and self-centered, and suffers from Asperger's and Autisim. Nervous when talking to chicks, but condifident when talking to men his age, especially if they are nerds and weebs like he is. He wants to be loved, and will want to get in with the chicks despite his nervousness, but devotes his life to a certain Trainer (see Background). He loves playing games, but spends a lot of time inside with his Pokemon. His greater knowledge of the Pokemon world helps him a lot, as he knows every typing advantage and disavantage, as well as move power, effects and etc.

Background: Comes from the Hoenn region, where he lived most of his life so far. He apparently went to the same preschool/primary school with a close friend named Lucille, who gave him a Seviper for his 10th birthday. He has a crush on her, and is one of few people to be a close friend to the Pike Queen, who is in fact, Lucille (who is known as Lucy nowadays). He wants to become a Frontier Brain like her, but is too nervous. He will begin his quest of being the first Frontier Brain to utilise Fusion, but that will be a huge problem for him, since he recently joined. But his intelligence will be vital for victory. He mainly uses Poison, Dark, Steel types as well as Dragon and Ghost types. He never had a girlfriend before, which he always states to his friends. He's also a huge nerd, being a fan of shows like the Ability Ranger, playing games like Pokken Tournament Simulator and watching internet shows on PokeTube.

Pokemon: Seviper (Male, named Lucas), Skorupi (Female, named Impa), Lairon (Male, named Anthony), Noibat (Male, named Bort)

Other: Seviper knows a lot of good moves via TMs, while Lairon is recently evolved. Noibat and Skorupi are close to evolving, but they are weak yet powerful at times.
