Future Villains: Organization or Individual?

Honestly, I imagine all that rubble would have effectively crushed him into paste, at which point consciousness may not even be possible anymore.

Is there perhaps a halfway house with regards to the number of members in a team? Some of the most memorable anime villains are small squads of highly diverse antagonists - your Ginyu Forces, Akatsukis, Homunculi and the likes. There'd no doubt be a far greater lightness of tone - I could envision maybe 6-7 individuals with ridiculous hairdos, each specialising in one of the types unclaimed by the regional gyms or Elite Four (or, if you wanted to shake things up a little, have the senior team members actually be the Elite Four).

The villainous team thing is getting really tired and desperately needs a shake-up. Game Freak did start to think outside the box with Team Skull and Team Yell, which was nice to see, but I think it's time they moved away from official "Teams" with Grunts and Admins altogether. I would love to see an antagonist who operates alone, perhaps one who also acts as a rival to the player. A bit like N but without the underlings.

I’d like to see Pokémon villains from the anime make an appearance. Captain Phantom, the psychic guy from the zorua movie, Leon the Dream Thief, etc.
