The Villain Arc's Galar Chapter Begins!
Pokémon Masters EX's Villain Arc has entered its final phase, at least for now, with the beginning of the Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc. Debuting alongside the release of this new chapter is a brand new Villain event, Lamenting a Millennium, and an Extreme Battle Event, Let's Get Stronger with Everyone from Galar!. Rose, the disgraced former chairman of the Galar Pokémon League, also makes their debut today in a Poké Fair Scout in a sync pair with Copperajah.

Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc begins
The Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc features Rose and his assistant Oleana arriving on Pasio, as they come into a conflict with Leer over how Sync Stones are used, with Rose proposing the power of the stones be tapped for their energy. Part One of this chapter is available in-game now, and additional parts will unlock over the coming weeks.

This chapter is a permanent addition to the main story. Players will need to have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player in order to unlock this and other chapters of the Main Story Villain Arc.

Villain Event: Lamenting a Millennium

This time-limited event is running as an accompaniment to the launch of the new Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc. Lamenting a Millennium will run until August 18th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Unlike regular Story Events, this Villain Event does not include any lineup bonuses to increase battle rewards. There are however special bonuses for Galar Sync Pairs, who will have increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

In addition to other rewards such as event medals, players can collect Event Voucher Y through battle rewards, to trade for custom Hop & Zamazenta Legendary Spirit from the Exchange Items menu, which can be used to raise Hop & Zamazenta to 6★ EX. Once raised to 6★ EX, Hop's outfit is changed to match Zamazenta, giving him a red coat with yellow-ish trim, and a tan shirt and pants. Raising Hop & Zamazenta to 6★ EX will also unlock a song in the Jukebox.

Log-in Bonus
This event includes a log-in bonus over 14 days. Players can receive these bonuses up until July 30th at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.

New Sync Pairs debut in Poké Fair Scouts

In conjunction with the Villain Event, two new Sync Pairs are making their Pokémon Masters EX debuts in limited-time Scouts. Both of these new sync pairs have expanded sync grids, and the ability to be raised to 6★ EX.

Rose & Copperajah's Poké Fair Scout is live right now, alongside the start of the Villain Event, and will run through to August 18th at 10:59pm (PDT). Rose & Copperajah are a fair-exclusive Steel-type Strike Sync Pair, with the ability to Gigantamax. Their Actions, Not Words! Trainer Move allows them to boost their Attack by a full 6 ranks, while also improving their critical-hit rate by 3 ranks, and their Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by 1 rank, in exchange for lowering their Speed by 2 stat ranks. Together with their Stone Edge attack landing critical hits more easily, and their Rose's Results Passive Skill enduring their attacks always hit, and this sync pair is well set to land hit after massive physical hit... so long as you can afford the cost, with their Hit the Gas 5 Passive Skill increasing the amount of move gauge slots needed to use all their attack moves. When raised to 6★ EX, Rose's suit changes to a deep burgundy hue, reminiscent of his namesake.

Oleana & Garbodor will debut in a Poké Fair Scout starting July 15th, at 11:00pm (PDT), and running through to August 20th at 10:59pm (PDT). Oleana & Garbodor are a Poison-type Tech Sync Pair, with the ability to Gigantamax. Their moves center around inflicting poison and debuffing opponents, with their Passive Skills making it so that any opponent who would be poisoned is instead badly poisoned, and tripling the stat drops of any opponent who is already poisoned or badly poisoned. This means the G-Max Malodor and Venom Drench moves can combine to badly poison all opponents, then reduce their Attack, Sp. Attack, and Speed by a full 6 ranks after the later move is used twice!

Event Gem Specials
In conjunction with the launch of the new chapter of the Villain Arc, the following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until August 1st, at 10:59pm (PDT), offering discounted prices on paid gems.
  • July event gem special 1: Gems x300
  • July event gem special 2: Gems x1,800
  • July event gem special 3: Gems x3,900
  • July event gem special 4: Gems x7,000
