Game Corner?

I just want the option of being able to buy the coins directly.
This. Just let me buy the coins I need and leave me alone. If I want to blow all my battle winnings on coins, I should have that option.
Oh, oh! What if they retool the Pokemon-Amie minigames to earn coins? IDK how they'd do it but hey, it'd be something! I'm a pro at head it now!
That could work too. I've gotten pretty good at berry picking so I could earn the stuff that way. Just no more Voltorb Flip! I suck at it!

High stakes bet matches. Maybe being able to gamble on other people's matches. Just anything but voltorb flip I get it's skill based but there is still a luck element and it's so slow.

I want it to return in some capacity. Sure, there will be no slot machines or gambling... but I want a) NO VOLTORB FLIP! That game was horrible. I couldn't understand it and I gave up trying to win anything. and b) just let us buy the coins, please!

I wonder if the game is being released later in europe because they're taking out the game corner for that region?
If that isn't why, then maybe they could leave the games in but they're free to play and you can still win coins? It would kinda make it easier to win coins, but I just really enjoyed the game corner and I still wanna be able to play all the old games.
No voltorb flip. Dear lord, I never wanna see that game again!

Well, I can't see Mauville too clearly in the map, but it may be possible that there's no game corner there at all.

The EU can go on a date with Giratina if it wants to be stupid. Britain has 2 pence machines for kids to use to see if they get money, also wouldn't claw grab machines come under that?
I honestly can't see them getting rid of the game corner as Platinum had slot machines in and was released in 2009 in Europe. (was for England anyway) and please explain how having a team bent on mass genocide is better then gambling?

I didn't really like the game corner plus I don't remember RSE having Pokemon as prizes... But i'd like to see a return with a brand new game.

I think they changed it in the non English European versions of Platinum.

I really don't like th game corner for two reasons , one is the prize are only for secret bases, two is the games are all boring so hop GF can make this shit got more better

I'd expect they'll bring back Voltorb flip, or something like it.

And actually, I'd like this. I always hated the old game corners. I suck at slots and roulette. Voltorb Flip, to me, was actually fun. It wasn't totally random. It just took some hard thinking, some brains, and sometimes a 50/50 chance. I loved it. I never used the old Game Corners at all. They were horrible.

At least with the old game corners, we could buy tokens or coins or whatever. I didn't like playing voltorb flip, and I could never win enough coins to buy anything, but you couldn't just buy coins, you had to win them by playing that horrible 'game',

I see where you're coming from, though. If they kept voltorb flip and allowed maybe 2 other different game choices along with the ability to purchase coins, I'd probably be fine. But I'm still hoping against all odds that they'll just bring the original RSE game corner back. I just had too much fun with the roulette (even though I was about 6 years old and had no idea how it worked, I would just mash buttons, and I remember loving the little pokemon faces and how the ball would roll around and stuff.)

I understand. And chances are the old game corner won't return. But actually, on the opposite side, the coin system in the old Game Corners is actually what killed me and then Voltorb Flip saved me. I was never lucky enough to actually consistently get a bunch of coins, so I never got any prizes in RSE. Whereas, with Voltorb Flip, I could consistently rack up coins to get prizes. But having several options, including Voltorb Flip, would be best. I will admit it got a bit monotonous.

Minesweeper would be cool. I rock that game.

I wouldn't mind if they used the Game Corner as an excuse to put the Pokemon-Amie games in. I'm thinking something along the lines of that weird wireless adapter berry corner thing in the Sevii Islands FRLG.

Personally I didn't mind Voltorb Flip (in fact, I rather liked it, as it felt like a mix between Minesweeper and Picross). I would be fine with it returning (and it'd fit really well with Mauville's Electric-type theme) but if it comes back I hope it does so in a fully-fledged Game Corner, with NPCs and the ability to buy or find coins, rather than in a piddly little single-person house.

Of course, if the regular games come back, that's fine too, even if it meant I'd have to mostly resort to buying coins since I'm mediocre at slots and roulette.

It'd all a matter of controversy. Mass genocide is shown as a bad thing that only the villain can do, while you as the hero stop it from happening. No question there that killing everything is bad. On the other hand, the slot machines were something that the player did themselves. GF probably didn't help themselves by adding roulette in RSE. I guess wasting your life savings on gambling games (that resemble their real-life counterparts strongly) is less ludicrous than destroying the world with a flower-shaped laser cannon or mythical beasts.

The problem is that if a game contains slots that promote gambling, even if slightly, the game is automatically +12. PEGI in Europe was about to give Platinum a +12 Rating, which was unacceptable bythe franchise. Because that, they made a last minute decision removing the slots and putting the coins in random places (really annoying).

By that time, HG/SS was almost finished. Because the game had no problems with the coins in Japan, they cam be released with games. But Game Freak made for any other international version (including the US, Korea and Australia) a Coin Flip gme. Is know that the Game Corner caused a rate from G to PG in Auatralia.

In XY, in Europe they raised the ratings from Pegi 3 to pegi 7 because of Team Flare story. They did the same in Australia, bumping the tratings from G to PG.

Coming off of the very kid-friendly Ni no Kuni (which had a casino and was rated CERO All Ages, but was "ESRB Everyone 10+" and "PEGI 12+" everywhere else), I have a few suggestions for better casino Game Corner games, but they're a bit too hardcore for Game Freak, who are very particular about going past a very specific content rating for Pocket Monsters overseas.

I can't really see the Game Corner returning, cause of the already mentioned reasons, but I wouldn't mind if we just got a a bunch of mini-games and they essentially made it an arcade (as long as I don't have to play Voltorb Flip, cause it makes me flip more than just cards) And they could maybe ask for something like an entrance fee or something
