Game Corner?

What do you think are the possibilities that they bring back the game corner? For me, I hope they do, but I doubt it will happen.

I personally loved Voltorb flip - it was easier and more reliable than the slots, haha!

But part of the RSE Game Corner's appeal for me was that you had multiple games to pick from: I'd love to see Voltorb Flip (maybe with a more Hoenn-themed 'mon as the star?) alongside one or two brand-new games!

Maybe something similar to Sudoku, but with Unknown? Since we don't have numbered Unknown they'd have to just have A-I, but it could still work!

And I think a "higher or lower"-type game could work - it's technically not gambling if you don't put money down first…? An elemental higher or lower could be fun: guess if the upside-down card is super-effective or not-very-effective (could only work with neutrally-effective types excluded) to the right-side-up card.

There are lots of non-gambling games that could occur: a puzzle game, with payouts dependent on completion time + puzzle difficult; a trivia-type game where correct answers net coins and longer streaks of right answers increase a score multiplier!

If you can't tell, I love mini-games, and I'd love if they had lots packed into the new Game Corner!

If they have to do away with the slots (I never played them much, but I find it silly they became such an issue to begin with), they should still bring back the Game Corner with some different new games to play. Voltorb Flip was fun but I'd rather see something different this time. With the touchscreen and 3D, I'm sure they can come up with some fun new minigames.

It probably won't come back, but hopefully it's not Voltorb flip again. Maybe an arcade with mini games that don't look like slot machines would be cool, but people being people, will probably say it's gambling.

I hope they at least keep the Game Corner itself. Even if they do replace the slots with that horrible Voltorb Flip game, the Game Corner's building is something I don't see a problem with~

Wasn't Voltorb Flip put in the games in the first place because of legal restrictions put in place between HG/SS Japanese and English release dates?

I can't see them keeping it around when the game corner feature was removed entirely from B/W onwards. That said, some other kind of mini-game could easily be put in place instead of it.

Every RPG must have the proverbial casino. Unfortunately, the Pokémon games have been lacking said casino, as of late. Here's to hoping it makes its return!

Why did they have to rip out the whole Game Corner just because Europe banned gambling? Give the Europeans Voltorb Flip and keep the slots for America and Japan.

They will probably replace the Game Corner as a whole with some other kind of gimmick.

Am I the only person who doesn't like the Game Corner? Maybe I'm awful at slots and roulette, but the only thing the Game Corner did for me was keep me away from the Flamethrower TM.

Global Link and Amie-style minigames would work for me. (like Neopets, where you could win currency/ Neopoints by playing games, which most of them weren't gambling)

It's more than likely going to be changed like it was in HGSS. I don't care what games replace the games inside, so long as they keep the option to purchase coins as an alternative to a tediously frustrating game. That's what I really hated about the HGSS game corner.

I would love Game Corner to come back. I don't care what game it is as long as there's nice prizes.

I have to agree with several posters. I think if they have games such as the one they had in Heart Gold/Soul Silver, then they should have an option to buy coins as well. But I would have to play Devil's Advocate here and say that buying coins may be too easy and that by playing the game means you have earned the money. I just hope that if you can play a game in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, then they should at least include Porygon.

I use my hard-earned money to buy coins so i feel like i earned the coins because i spent money that i had to work to get.
