For those who don't know, in the HeartGold/SoulSilver games after getting 16 badges you get the GB Sounds, an item that lets you change the battle music and background music of the game to 8-bit remade tracks from the original Gold/Silver Game Boy games. Full info here - GB Sounds - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia

Would you like to see/do you think they'll add this option again in OmegaRuby & Alpha Sapphire, so we can have the original R/S/E GBA soundtrack available in-game?

I say yes to this in case the remastered themes suck like some HGSS ones did (Hello Goldenrod theme).

That would be splendid nostalgic trip if Game Freak considers or has implemented a GBA player.

Well, if they did it for HGSS, and it's an awesome idea, then why wouldn't they do it for OR/AS as well.

I'd love that, if nothing else for Slateport City's theme. I can't imagine any remix outdoing it, so I love to use it there.

GB Sounds was kind of a wasted opportunity on the basis it could've been an option you could enable at the beginning of the game, not when there's almost nothing left for you to do. So hopefully if it does come back it should be an option you could toggle at the start, for those who want it.

I would imagine this is a given? I'd go as far to say that the OR/AS OST won't "live up" to the hype so to speak.

Yes, please. If they decide to remove the trumpets from the remixed/remastered soundtrack, a "GBA sounds" option will be a must for me.

I voted yes as I'd like to see it, but I doubt we will, Nintendo have a habbit of coming up with great ideas then dropping them from future games.

Maybe. I'm more eager to hear the new versions of tracks (and just hope they don't screw up the Gym battle theme). The old ones are pretty much locked in my memory by now, anyway.

Yes it should be an option at the start of the game and also if the remastered version of the original OST doesn't have the almighty trumpets...

Amazing to see that lots of people view the trumpets as an essential element to the Hoenn experience. I do agree with this, since it does give it a distinct flavour that makes it the games that are. With that said, I don't mind this, although I would prefer to hear how they remake the music.

Thanks for reading.

I don't care, I like to hear the new songs not the old ones but some people like it so meh.

I'd like to listen to the new sounds (Don't ruin Drought please), but it'll be a good add to the games like happened in HG/SS, it's not that hard to do and will give a special feeling to players who enjoyed the GBA games.

Yes, please! Especially if you can get GBA sounds early in the game. That'd be awesome.

As long as they still use trumpets, I wouldn't mind the new soundtracks, but GBA Sounds would also be a nice frip down nostalgia lane :)
