Apologies for the atrocious title. Anyways, I felt like the gen 9 predictions thread had a sizable amount of more fan ideas and wishlist hopes, so I decided to make a dedicated thread for those here just so that we don't have two threads in one (I don't think there was a thread like this already). So here's the place to put all your gen 9 hopes and dreams, no matter how wild or unrealistic they are.

Region based on Australia
Komala regional evolution, which is the original Komala. Evolves into a Normal/Grass type due to the powers of the Eucalyptus tree. Komala needs to hold a branch of it to evolve, starting at lvl 30.
Expansive region
Professor being based on Steve Irwin
Seasons being re-introduced.
Cameo's from characters from older regions if they make sense.
The E4 being the Water/Grass/Fire/Flying core, with the Champion being the Electric type Specialist, who is related to the professor. All use 6 Pokemon
The 8th gym leader using 6 Pokemon, since its the final test before the league
Three rivals. One is your neighbour (Gender changes depending on the gender of the protagonist and is the main rival), the other 2 are the twins of the professor. One aims to become a gym leader, while the other one wants to catch as much Pokemon as possible and grows stronger because of wanting to become the new professor/apprentice professor and they think they aren't worthy enough to be an apprenctice professor.

A region based on an obscure country.

Evolution for Dunsparce where those freaking wings finally grow into something. An evolution for Mimikyu revealing its hidden form in a safe way. A conjunction evolution path (yeah, you read that right.) for Basculin where both evolve into the same exact form when both are leveled up in your party, with the only obvious difference being the eyes.

The starting town not being a simple town but rather, a huge metropolis where the Pokemon League is located and already within reach but cannot be entered due to needing gym badges from other cities. This metropolis would also be at the very center of the region.

The regional professor being named Acacia or Spruce.

Both box art legendary Pokemon being catchable in the same game despite the version, with the version now affecting which you can catch first.

Pokemon fusion mechanically identical to Kyurem/Necrozma/Calyrex, but for many non-legendary Pokemon instead for yet another legendary. Make Venustoise real, Game Freak!

A Gen 5 spiritual sequel set 15 years after the events of Black 2 and White 2 with more heavy focus on Pokemon fusion. Colress finds a way to fuse Black Kyurem with Reshiram/White Kyurem with Zekrom the fusion is still mechanically identical to the other Kyurem fusions. All three members of the Tao trio are catchable regardless of version but much like the first set of Gen 9 games, which one you catch first depends on the version.

-I'd give a much longer development schedule of around 5 years put into the game. It would release on the next generation Nintendo console in 2024.
-Only one major rival.
-The first few gyms are type-based - but the later ones are format based, and become battle facilities in the postgame.

...I could go on and on about this, but I'd just be copy-pasting a lot from the posts I did from the "Design Your Perfect Game" thread made a while ago. :/

Consdiering my post on the other thread was listed as a reason for this one's existence, It seems appropriate to post here as well.

I want to see a region/Generation with an Astrological theme, People, Places and especially pokemon themed after constellations within and without the Zodiac (especially since one of those constellations correspond to an animal that GF seem to have never gotten around to.)

Plus I also think that a Zodiac theme would have a unique opportunity gameplay-wise allowing 6 permutations per game (as they aren't gonna abandon he paired game model anytime soon, that measn 12 permutations total) that would determine what season the game would take palce in and which of the 3 gimmicks (Dyna/Gigantamax, Z moves and Mega Evolution) players could access until the post game, among other factors that would help ensure each file has a different experience better than the binary choice of which version one prefers.

The most appropriate names such such a pair of games would be Malefic and Benefic which would refernce the astrology theme and meet the basic duality criteria. Possible settings would be Greece, or Italy inspired (the former being the source of at least half the constellations as we know them and the latter is the epicenter of the Renaissance which was likely a cause for a boom in astrologians). But I wouldn't mind if the regions were based on somewhere with a little more biodiversity such as Australia or India.

Ideally the Pokedex, both new and returning pokemon should have a roster that evokes most of the constellations, while the towns and other locations are namedfor stars and astronomical phenomena, the naming convention for the Gym Leaders would be the Planets (like Team Galactic+Cynthea) and the E4 would reference the brightest of starts. Alternatively they could also be named after the Zodiacal constellation and the champ is named after Ophiuchus.

For consistency with a different zodiac, the Fire Starter line would be based on a serpent, a bull (close enough to an ox) or maybe a Sheep (kinda close to a ram/goat)

Prolly not gonna happen, but a man can dream.

I want archeus in this gen. I feel like the fact that archeus, is the motherfrickin god of the pokemon world and is only in gen 4. Its very messed up. I think that this region should focus on 2-3 more archeus created beings.

For modern-day GameFreak to give at least a 1% effort with the games, instead of a -20% effort.
We can all appreciate constructive criticism, but this is definitely not constructive. I can almost guarantee you that GF employees likely work countless nights during development. Now you may not like the final product, but if anything that’s a reflection of the their poor game design choices; not a lack of effort.

My Wishlist:
-For each mainline pokemon games to have 4-5 years for developement, and remakes 2-4 years.
-Keep the 2 versions duality, but have them be more different than some exclusive mons and cover legendary. Swicht the layout of the region a bit, and maybe also change the story a bit.
-have Mega Evolutions and Ultra Beasts return, with some new ones as well (new megas should not be gen 1, possibly from all generations including some of the new mons. Also give the Kalos Starters and cover legendaries megas, it seems like a no brainer to me).
-Have a small regional dex (~300-400).
-pokemon followers like in LGPE, and even some rideable ones.
-more battles in vein of the sky battles, but without the flying animations catastrophe.
-more expansive wild areas.
-the starting town is now a big city instead, at the center of the region.
-the normal routes to be way more branching.
-the gym leaders and Elite four to be more present in the story. I would be fine with something like BW did.

Regarding my Pokemon Malefic/Benefic idea. I have an indea for ow the Gym Challenge would go.

with 13 Elliptical Signs (well counting Ophiuchus) and 13 trianers to beat to become the champ (current champ, E4 and 8 Gym Leaders). I think it might be a nice twice to have the E4 based on what sign you picked and pull from the same pool of 12 trainers as the Gym Leaders, with the other 8 becoming the Gym Leaders you must face to challenge the League. something of a logical extension with Alola's E4 (comprised mostly of familial faces) and Galar's (which is actually a tournament comprised of again, familial faces...at least the first time around).the Champ would naturally be based on Ophiuchus.

For bonus point I'd have the player trainer be based off of Cetus, a constellation that slightly touches the elliptic. And named Kaito (Male) and Mira (Female)

This isn’t really realistic since the games are always meant to cater to the newest generation of players; but I would love to see Pokémon games that explored different time periods rather than just different places. I would be really interested to see what interactions with Pokémon were like in the 80s or 50s for example.

Might be useful for spinoff material.

Sounds a lot like my ass-complicated and elaborate prediction which you've seen before scattered across multiple threads (I've made some major edits since then).

Pokemon Zero and Pokemon Infinity (ZI), either the last main series games on the switch or the first on its successor.

The game's colors are (respectively) dark gray, red, blue, and green and light gray, red, blue, and yellow. The colors aside from grays tie into a karma meter that's a central but not overwhelmingly prominent mechanic.

The region it's based off of is the entire former Yugoslavia. My original theory had the starting town on an island off the coast, but a big central city could make sense, since the final battle happens in the big central city where the pokemon league is and it would fit the game thematically. This city would naturally be inspired by Belgrade.

Acacia or spruce works well as a professor name. I'm imagining a dour goth who gets surprisingly nerdy at times.

Both box-art pokemon are catchable, the one on the box being during the game itself and the other being post game. They're both knights (well, infinity's is a turkish/russian knight and zero's a more conventional one), which kind of contrasts black and white's dragons (because these are spiritual successors to BW). These two are based off of buddhist/orthodox christian lore. The game's story itself could be seen as a journey towards enlightenment, whilst also being a descent into a Allegherian inferno.

Whilst BW had a story in large part about the relationship pokemon had with people, this is mostly about the relationships people have with each other. How even the pokemon world's not immune to factionalism and nostalgia gone wrong (it's in large part a very stern message by game freak towards the more toxic members of the fanbase).

Gameplay wise, it's world progression is extremely different from the other games. It has 9 sub-regions which work as miniature open worlds. There's also a karma meter that ties into dialogue choices and how one progresses story events like gym trials and confrontations with the villainous teams (hence the additional colors). The central gimmick involves a rapidly-refilling meter that can be used to trigger four different effects (weakness and critical hit immunity, enhanced forme, enhanced moves, act twice)

The 400 strong dex is halfway composed of new pokemon, many of them legendaries (which are extremely important to the game's lore and story).

How likely do any of you think that is? (It'll take multiple posts to describe the whole thing)

I see where you're going at with the color scheme and would point out that a Red/Blue/Green/White or Grey vs Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black would make more sense.

I would add a new baby Pokémon that’s a calf that will evolve into either Tauros or Miltank depending on its gender. That way the two Pokémon will finally be linked. I’ll also add a new evolution for Jynx since it was a trio with Magmar and Electabuzz and it got left out in Gen 4 in terms of gaining an evolution.

Why, specifically?

Also I had neglected to say at the time that those three colors represent three prongs of a karma meter, red for bad, blue for good, green/yellow for neutral.
