Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Pokejungle said she only wasn't resistant to Poison, not that she was weak to it.
That page is incomplete. Kriffix, who is on the site's staff, translated what was being said.

It was originally me who wrote that on the article, and just realised I worded it a little odd since it was being misconstrued. But yeah, like you suggest what I meant at the time was that she was weak to poison. I'll go change it now.

PS. A little off topic, but pokejungle (our webmaster) is a male :)

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Please ... I don't want another weakness for Ice :(

Watch.

Sylveon was only using a move that's super effective against ice...that has nothing to do with her type.

Watch what? I see no link :/

I have a request: could you kindly use another writing color? It's very inconvenient to always mark your text to read it. Thank you.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

So I'm late to the Sylveon discussion, but I agree with those who are thinking this is a new type. At this point they have us jumping through hoops and are playing games trying to make us guess (also to hint) and it just doesn't seem like they would play things out for this long and like this if it was an existing type. Also being weak to Poison either means Sylveon is a Grass-type, a new type or they've redone the type chart completely. I know which one I'm leaning towards!

Also agreeing with the majority that it's a new type. I was confident before and I'm even more confident now.

Depending on where U live if U are from Europe yesterday aroun 1AM CET, if U're from USA the Saturday afternoon.

Smash featured discussion about Sylpheon where they stated it was strong against Ice and week towards poison.

Yes now I'm also on the train that Sylpheon is a new Type. Eventually where they can trick us is that Sylpheon is the first dual type Eevee! But let's see they will reveal it next month cause the short movie is coming soon

Elikiteru is the Alomomola of Generation VI. It looks like Mawile (especially when standing on its hind legs), it has the same colour scheme as Mawile, but it's not related to Mawile.

Still, it's my favourite out of the new bunch (although Gogoat looks very fluffy).

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Now I will tell my opinion about the revealed pokemon:
Chespin: Cute and I think it has a potential to evolve to something cool. My favourite grass base stage starter. 7/10
Froakie: He is wonderful. My favourite of the new starters. And together with he is my favourite water base stage starter. 8.5/10
Fennekin: I do not like this one at all. I think it is too boring and that it tries to look independent. 3/10
Yayakoma: It looks boring and I think it is the worst regional bird. 3/10
Xerneas: It is cool and I prefer it before Yveltal. Not some of my favourite legendaries though. 6/10
Gogoat: I really like this thing. It looks cool and powerful. Hope Cilan catches this one. But I wish it was Grass/Rock. 9/10
Erikiteru: I do not like the look but I like the typing. 5/10
Yveltal: Looks wierd but it is cool in a way. I prefer Xerneas though. 5/10
Sylveon: Ugly as hell. The worst eveelution. I hope it is a new type. 2/10
Yanchamu: Cute and cool. My favourite of the new pokes. I have a feeling it will get a terrible evolution. 10/10

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

I personally quite like the new mons. The panda is awesome, and I'm loving the robin. In terms of evolution, I'm thinking that Gogoat will not evolve into or from anything, Yancham will have a 3-part evolutionary family, with each one getting significantly fatter. Yayakoma will only evolve once, and possibly swap out normal for fire (or maybe we'll have another Staraptor - an early-game normal/flying bird with decent coverage options). Elikiteru will evolve once, I'd love it if its ears rotated to make it fly, and I'm assuming it will have abilities which boost it in sunlight. Solar Power is the only current one that suits it IMO, as only plants have Chlorophyll, and it has no flowers for Flower Gift.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

@sunyshore; pointed out on her Twitter that Erikiteru will probably evolve into a frilled lizard:
o a frill necked lizard is エリマキトカゲ (erimaki tokage).. erikiteru is a lizard that uses its long ear things to soak up the sun's rays...erikiteru will evolve into a frill necked lizard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If so, I can't wait. I love frill necked lizards.

I really hope so! Frilled lizards are so frickin cool and cute. Also I'm really surprised it hasn't been done yet, since it's a pretty unique creature. Assuming it may get Solar Power due to its concept of absorbing the sun's rays for power, I also think Intimidate might happen aswell, if it does evolve into a frilled lizard.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

No, we don't have the English names yet. All the we have at the moment are the Japanese names. We should get the English names sometime on the 14th (Tuesday) based on the previous months. I'm looking forward to seeing what their names are. The robin is likely to be named something unspired given Pidgey, Hoothoot, Taillow, Starly and Pidove.

I think that is an unlikely outcome.

I changed my mind. Panda/Chuck Norris/Yanchamu is worth 10/10.
And its bad they wont name him Chuck Norris.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Some English name ideas:

Lizard: Solamander, from solar and salamander. Solarmander is too long. Or maybe Gencko, from generator and gecko.
Panda: Pancho, from panda and banchō. If it isn't named this then I will be calling my panda Pancho anyway, because it sounds cute. :3

Oh god, I hope not.

You know, the fact that the bird is called the Japanese Robin Pokemon.. I want to believe it's going to evolve into a Japanese Crane.

I've wanted a crane Pokemon since forever, PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Late to this whole conversation, but oh well.

I still strongly don't believe the Fairy type will happen. It just seems like a such a stupid name for a type in my opinion. Plus I feel like they would have to upgrade lots of old Pokemon; Cleffa's Line, Igglybuff's Line, and honestly just so many more. The skit that Smash did with giving type hints is somewhat rubbish too me and I feel like it won't really have an effect on the type of Sylveon, as I still think we're being trolled. I guess that I could see a new type for Sylveon, but I don't see it being 'Fairy'.

With the 4 new Pokemon, they all sit good with me. Gogoto is my favorite, I really love it's design. I think it's pretty cool that we'll get to ride around on this thing, and hopefully other Pokemon like Bouffalant and Tauros. Second place goes to Yayakoma for it's design. Something about it makes me think it's evolution will look really bad-ass. Third is tied with Erikiteru and Yanchamu. Neither of them really stand out to me, but they both seem okay. As for Yanchamu's evolution type, I'm kind of thinking that it may just be Fighting/Grass due to the leaf in it's mouth. Or possibly that it can learn grass type moves? Fighting/Dark seems possible aswell, but at this point I'm willing to believe almost anything.
