Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Well they can't exactly update Sylveon's type until it is officially announced.

So why not announcing it oficially now? remember that the Japanese site has updated too, so there is no reason to say like in previous generations that "it can't be on the English site until it is on the Japanese one", since now both sites update simultaneously. Since today the Japanese site updated today too, they could have done the announcement today, yet they skipped it.

No matter how much evidence and how likely it is Sylveon is a new type, nothing is confirmed, and the Pokemon site isn't going to put up an unconfirmed type. The question marks there isn't really by choice.

I'm aware of that, but that's my point: every new non-Legendary Pokémon gets its type revealed as soon as the Pokémon is announced. Previosuly, since no other Pokémon apart from the starters and Legendaries was revealed, there was no way of knowing how they would handle new Pokémon reveals for this Generation, so it could be said that Sylveon's type was kept a secret because that's how they would treat all the reveas. But now we got several reveals and Sylveon remains the only one whose type has not been revealed. Why keep it a secret at this point if it wasn't anything special about it? I was not talking about the Pokémon website alone, I was talking in general terms, just using the website as an indicator.

EDIT:

Is Yveltals and Xernas types revealed?

No, and neither has Mewtwo's forme. I was refering to all Pokémon not Leegendary. My bad, I apologize.

Sylveon will continue to troll us until Masuda states it on Smash or CoroCoro announces the new type/s.

Loving the site update, though. Helioptile is so cute in a derpy way!

I wonder if Pancham can do spmething with his leaf? He maybe has some sort of attack for throwing it or something. Pairing Shot do not necssesary need to be his signature move.

Or maybe the leaf will turn into a sword when it evolves.

The leaf looks like a dagger if you ask me. He maybe can learn the new move Brutal Backstab!? And I hope it have good stats when you catch it and not evolves. But I will have wrong because I think it is like Chubchoo and Teddiursa. It will evolve once. And all three are based on bears.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

There's another potential "New Pokemon"...

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y

A shadowy figure blows around in the background on the right side, shaking the leaves to the left. Some sort of hint at a New Pokemon?

Hmm, the bottom part which looks like a dress so it's possibly humanoid. The top part is interesting since it looks like Xernea's antlers though so either it's a costume or a new Pokémon that's related to the cover legends. If it's the former, maybe it's another N-esque antagonist?

I can't see the background (probably because I'm on mobile), but if it wears a possible dress and has antlers, maybe it's a character related to Xerneas?

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Helioptile- sun loving reptile (makes sense for a pokemon that generates energy by sitting in sunlight).
Pancham- Panda + cham(pion)? It sounds somewhat similar to the Japanese name, so I like it.
Fletchling- Meh name. It sounds so generic. You'd think that its English name would at least contain "Robin" in it.
Gogoat- It's almost exactly the same as the Japanese. Fitting for a "novelty pokemon" (like Munna and Musharna in the previous gen).

AAAAAAND... The site update includes everything, every little detail, about each and every new Pokémon, including type, yet they still skipped Sylveon, which still has ?? markings. Pretty much the last confirmation it is a new type. I mean, why ignore it when all of the new Pokémon relealed up to this day have their types revealed?

Xerneas and Yveltal's types are still also unknown.

o_O We must be looking at different backgrounds. There is nothing humanoid in the moving shadowy figure.

I'm mostly going by the dress at the bottom part, again the antlers throw it off but it's not like they couldn't incorporate them into a dress like this: http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Dungeons---Dragons-movies-69423_1024_768.jpg

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's nothing but an effect for the website.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's nothing but an effect for the website.

But it seems like such a weird effect to add to the website since it has nothing to do with the games at all, from what we know about them. It might not be a Pokemon, but it could be something.

Well effects do not need to have anything to do with the game. And logical thing about why they do not reveal anything about Sylveon is that they want to wait until the movie comes out.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

Okay, heres my opinions on what I've taken from the website:

'Here is your look if you play as a girl. Note the difference in the color of the sunglasses!' - Male protagonist's glasses are black, the girls are white. ERMERGHERD, BLACK AND WHITE REMAKES CONFIRMED!! No. Really though, I dont get it. Why point that out?

'Your adventure in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y takes place in the Kalos region, home to beautiful skies and forests' - Pointing out beautiful skies? Can we access the skies? I'd like that. If we can ride on a sheep, why can't we fly on a Robin, Ranger style?

So the dog lizard is called Helioptile? Helicopter springs to mind... and what long ears it has...

Gogoat has a 'strong bond with its Trainer's feelings when its Trainer grabs onto its horns' Will HM's be replaced or partially replaced with this speculated bonding mechanism?

The end.
