I think it's way too literal. I mean, you unsheath it, and it's just a sword. I would have loved if it was unsheathed and and then the spirit went all cray. But no, it's a slightly luminous sword.

What the hell is that thing ???
I mean , If Pokemon was like Persona then I could imagine Player holding this Pokemon and cutting everything in his path like a Knight .
But Pokemon isn't that type of game .
However The Anime can do that but they won't .
Anyway , Does anybody notice that if Ash catch this Pokemon then he will have 2 type of Pokemon he haven't caught .
Plus , If Anime decide to have Ash catch a ''Talking Pokemon'' who like's to annoy/tease Ash & has a funny sarcastic/sadist personality then this Pokemon is the perfect choice !
I mean look at its face , It meant to be a ''Talking Pokemon'' in any game or anime !

i think it looks awesome. One of my favorite pokemon of this gen so far. Kind of reminds me of a mix of the master sword and the fierce deity's sword. Im not a huge fan of ghost types but i might just catch that.

I just can't ... a sword? Ugh, I can't bring myself to like it. Even the garbage bag is better than this. :I

I personally quite enjoy the idea of a Pokemon based on a sword. I also love it's type combination. So far this Pokemon is already one of my favourite gen VI Pokemon, along with Fennekin. I just may end up training this one.

I like the design! I really agree on how it feels like it's something from LoZ. If it evolves onto a suit of armour, that would be really awesome!

I don't see the LoZ connections, its just a sword with a yellow hilt and eye. I do love the sheath though, which makes the face.

Hitotsuki has a very cool design and typing, I'm interested to see what direction they'll take it when it evolves.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

I'm very excited to see this! I realized that all the pokemon that were released so far were based on animals (Except the fairies and Noivern), while for Gen V Klink was revealed quite early.

My little Brother thinks it should be an item in the next Super Smash Bros. game. As in, you pick it up and hit people with it.

Wow, I absolutely love the design! The triquetra-like symbol of its scabbard, which has an overall Celtic feel, that eye and the ribbon that appears to act like a hand. Awesome!

Because of its Ghost-typing, I can totally get a feeling of a sword possessed by a demon, and it being a boss in the end of a dungeon.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

The inanimate objects continue to dominate the selection of Ghost-types. Admittedly though, if this Pokemon has the ability Levitate, then, type-wise, it is the most defensive Pokemon in the game by far. I also can't see it being available in the wild. It's probably either a gift or similar to Rotom in the sense that you interact with a possessed sword. Or it could be in some ruins area.

I gotta say, that sword-Mon looks awesome. Now this is getting even harder to decide on just six main Pokemon for a team. I don't entirely see the LoZ reference some of you see, but I love the Ghost/Steel type combo. It looks like an ancient sword that was brought to life by a spirit or something, which, if that's the case, would be totally awesome! And it's kinda nice not having only animal-like Pokemon. A few oddballs like this make it more interesting. I wonder what moves it'll learn. Probably Swords Dance and, possibly, Sacred Sword would fit the bill. *chuckles* Nice, I like it a lot.

I LOVE it. I think a Pokemon based a sword is a badass concept, and I think its type combination is awesome as well. Ghost-types are my favorite, so I'm definitely keeping my eye on this one. To me, it looks like it could evolve or be a standalone. But regardless, I want one.

Re: Revealed Gen VI Pokemon Discussion/Speculation Thread

So I posted on Serebii posting here now.

Got a user in another forum that is in a FRench convention and just saw a new pokemon in the announcement from Masuda(that aired there already).

His French name is Monorpale and his Japanese name is Hitotsuki

I can definitely see why people would say it reminds them of LoZ.

I love the decoration on the sheath and the blade's 'arm'. So cartoonish but not stupidly so. It's really nice.

People thought the same thing about Cofagrigus and then we had it in the wild. I wouldn't rule anything out yet.
