I just would think a person would atleast know proper Japanese before working for a Japanese company.
That sort of thing gets you laughed at if you don't.

So, I was thinking it's more likely that they're fake because of the shoddy Japanese....

...but what if these were designed by James Turner??* I'm sure his Japanese must be pretty good, he works for GF after all. But a little relatively messy grammar isn't necessarily out of the world of possibility.

*EDIT: Just saw your response to the other Turner suggestion. Inclined to agree with you, but I still think that waiting to see would be best.

That Water starter is so unlikely, I'm actually wondering now if it is true after all. If you are a faker, why would you pick that, since it looks so unreal.

Exactly this.

Initially the fire horse was my favorite, but that water one is really growing on me. Would have to depend on their final evos lol

I'll just leave this here. It could be someone who redrew them trying to take credit or it could be the original person. Hard to say, but it's good to keep in mind. I will say the colors are off, but that may be a trick of the light or hey recolored them or something else. Again who knows at this point. Marix20's DeviantArt Gallery

Not trying to grasp onto them further, they're almost definitely fake at this point, but for fairness' sake: an artist on Deviantart claimed to have designed the "fake" Owl3, Tiger3, and Seal3 (which, as we all know, ended up being real) Alola starter evolutions the same day they were posted on 4chan.

EDIT: Also, I've been looking through his other fake Pokemon drawings. Haven't found many that quite match the art style of today's fakes. Again, it's probably just a coincidence. But just keeping a slightly open mind, especially since nothing else interesting is going on currently. But yeahhh they're practically confirmed fake. I would say definitely if not for the Alolan Deviantart incident.

People around the net seem to think that a lack of a Zeraora reveal is what solidly proves these starters as fake. What they fail to realize is that the whole point of a "leak" is that the leaked info is unauthorized and quite possibly illegal, meaning that we could very well get a real leak of something Gen 8 before Zeraora is even officially revealed. I mean c'mon, Zeraora itself has already been leaked in a sense for the past few months.

I don't know if these are real or fake, but I will say this. For something that is most likely fake, they sure went the extra mile of putting these in frames and hanging them on a wall.

A conversation I was having was if it would break the game to have access to all the pokemon right away. There's a number of ways they can block off areas and limit how you can use pokemon in the overworld. Is this what we want, or do we have smaller sections walled off by invisible barriers except in certain places where the areas connect? (possibly also only passable by having a Pokeride-like feature?)

I think that would be a cool idea. Throw in the day and night availability along with seasons and that would make it more interesting I think.

Weird thing is he just posted them. like 45 minutes ago. So what, was he the reason for that 4chan leak, and what showed on imgur? He says sorry for putting them in frames, I guess he realized he got caught for his slips.

This is what bothers me. Somebody did the exact same thing with the Alola starter evolutions. The art leak was posted on 4chan, then it was deleted soon after, then later that day an artist claimed to have done the "fake" art.

Even though they are confirmed fake, I’ll add them to the main post under “Fake” because they where pretty good leaks.

I am going to make a bunch of updates maybe not tommorow but sometime this week, are there any leaks I am missing?

Also what page are the Marble leaks on? (Cause we are already on page 100, and idk where to look)

Also too bad the person who made Roothoot never admitted it. It’s one of the mysteries we may never know

They were posted an hour ago. I disagree that he is the creator.

His art style doesnt match (it's closer to how the gen V Pokemon were drawn), and the fact that it was posted much earlier this morning is a no go for me .

Don't debunk it as fake yet .

I’m actually bothered by the timing as well. It makes me think that maybe he’s taking credit for them.

He’s done other fakemin though so it makes it seem more legit that they’re his.

I’m really liking that coral one though.

He's totally taking credit .A lot of his Fakemon are much more intricate than these three .

That's something about Pokemon, especially starters. They're never too complex in design.

Look at how intricately his Sun and Moon starters are designed. These starters that he is claiming are his own are way too simplistic in design, much like how all starters have been.

How would one explain the subpar Japanese though?
James has proven that you need to discuss the ideas with the hanchos before it gets finalized .

How do you explain mistranslations in video games? Or mistakes in books? Sometimes they just don’t notice or care.

Not trying to prove a point - just trying to find a possible answer to your question.

1. This is concept art. This isn't necessarily the absolute final product. Sure, they'd probably be in the actual games by now (or super close), but since this would be an unofficial leak, it could be a concept art done somewhere along the way, so it doesn't necessarily have to be perfect.

2. A little subpar Japanese doesn't necessarily mean that it hasn't been discussed with bosses.
