Kinda sad that Zygarde is getting more lore and focus in Alola, rather than its native region, right?

i didn't think about it only because of the tweet............ i was thinking about it because game freak want to surprise, and no one will see pokemon z coming.
and zygarde still didn't get a game.
I think its time to move on from zygarde, its already got its plot stretched for 2 generations. It already has all its forms. It already got its main arc in the anime. Mabye we will se it more in the X and Y remakes (A long time from now)

I wouldn't be a fan .People Could just look up quiz answers for the starter that they want.
What if they don't and end up with a starter that they don't want? That would be fair for kids who can't into internet
" I wanted the grass one but I got the fire one instead"

Oh, not like that. I mean like, "Have you played Pokemon [Version]? Who was your character? What starter did they pick?" And then it would only affect the characters you encountered later. Nothing to do with Pokemon available to use yourself.

It hasn't been sprites since gen 5, they used downscaled HD models for Gens 6 and 7. In theory, from what I understand, the original HD models can be used in the switch games.

As for how difficult it will be to rip sprites, I would assume that it would be more difficult, but not impossible.

Alright, let's say it's a Kanto sequel. How many characters do we have that could possibly show up?

We have:

-Gladion and Lillie heading there.
-N looking for Hilda/Hilbert.
-Cynthia and her connection to Johto.
-Wormhole Giovanni*
-Possibly all the villains from the previous games if Giovanni shows back up.
-Silver, who should show up if Giovanni is part of this.

There's gotta be something from Gens III and VI, but I can't think of anything right now.

What I'm saying is if they do sequels and it takes place in Kanto and Johto and involves all of the generations, I'll feel pretty satisfied.

*The ancients really screwed up giving Giovanni Wormhole Tech.

I've thought about them including Looker and Anabel as part of the main plot; in Generations, it shows that Looker is looking for Giovanni in the Kanto and Johto segments, and he even questions Silver about him. Oddly enough, after that conversation it cuts to Giovanni vowing to rebuild TR as a stronger organization, and then viola we see it in the form of Rainbow Rocket in-game.

I've been meaning to ask, but why is:

Labeled as iffy in the main post? Rainbow Rocket definitely ends with implications for future games, if not necessarily the next one.

I'm not sure, but I do think it's likely we'll see him again very soon. Adding on to my earlier suggestion of Looker and Anabel, I find it very strange that for an "enhanced version" in USUM, their roles in the games were drastically demoted from SM. Not to mention that Looker even mentions to you that he's heard murmuring of Rocket returning after you go through Diglett Cave, and despite RR invading on live television, him and Anabel didn't get involved.

It was only difficult for X/Y because there were no stills. That didn't happen until OR/AS. Sun and Moon gave them poses as well as having the stills. Due to ditching the National Dex, though, the poses only exist for what's in the Alola Dex. Could we see a fully realized version of this on the Switch, or is the idea of the National Dex kaput since the only way it's possible is by using Pokebank? On that as well, I know the community is pretty solid for maintaining a population for every pokemon, but I disagree that this should be the ONLY way you can get every pokemon. They've presented ways of allowing older pokemon to be available again before. Do we want this to be a thing again? (also, if they can, I'd like them to fix the Deerling/Sawsbuck problem, possibly tied into making the Alola forms also still available)

Do you guys think that if they do want to meet the 2018 release date, they could expand the game throughout the following year through the form of free or paid dlc?

This is kind of the question, isn't it...GF have sown that they really don't like doing DLC in any way shape or form. But it seems to be the direction that Nintendo is going and everyone else in the industry. They could get games out faster and then keep them going for longer if they use DLC. We wouldn't need a new game every year if they used DLC to update every year instead. But I know some fans would be unhappy with this and perhaps GF themselves. But this would also be a good way to keep hackers from exposing all they mythical Pokemon to soon.

I doubt we'll get DLC. Junichi Masuda has always been against it and said in an interview around X and Y's release: "I like the idea that Pokémon can be enjoyed with just one piece of software. You buy the game and it can be enjoyed just with that one software that you buy. That’s a key point for Game Freak." Even if he did change his mind since then and DLC was a thing for the upcoming Switch games, the Mythical Pokémon would probably still be in the code well in advance of the planned DLC releases. Look what happened with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. We still got hackers going into the data and finding out fighters such as Roy and Ryu before they were released. Knowing how Game Freak works, it will probably be the same old thing like with every generation without DLC. Everything planned for DLC gets revealed by hackers when the games launch.

Hmm... when it comes to this I'm not sure. They may say they don't like it but they have pretty much done DLC since DS era when you had to go get those codes and enter them to get the pokemon. That is pretty much DLC, while it may not be as expansive or invasive as some other DLCs it is still DLC. Honestly if it is done right it could be well done DLC and really would help out.

The issue with this is (and I know this has been beaten to death) US/UM is basically paid DLC for Sun/Moon and they could have saved a lot of time and tears if they had just sold it like that.

I'm honestly really tired of people saying that. US/UM were basically like a third, improved version like Yellow, Crystal, and so on. I think the fact that it just was split into two different versions like the first pair of games normally is is what threw people off. That and that it wasn't a sequel like B2/W2.

I finally updated the main post. Any feedback on how I can organize/change things?

Also I kept the starter leak there because despite the Artist "admitting it", there are a few things off about it as brought out by a number of people so it will be kept in "unconfirmed" for now until Generation 8 is announced

It's far less interesting when you take into account that the TCG has been doing different releases for a while now. Little more than a month ago, everybody was freaking out because there was a ton of Sinnoh focus -- "OMG they're doing a lot of Sinnoh themed packs!! Sinnoh remakes incoming?!?!?" -- and now that they're doing a Kalos themed release, it's -- "OMG they're doing a Kalos themed pack! Z incoming?!?!"

Not directing this directly at you, but just the fanbase in general -- seems like many people forget very quickly. 99% chance the TCG release means nothing at all. They do this stuff all the time. It's especially funny/disappointing to see people getting hyped up over a Kalos TCG release for some reason when they just did the same thing when the TCG did a big Sinnoh release. It didn't mean anything then, and it doesn't mean anything now.

Some of my favorite, most accurate, responses to Joe:

It's literally nothing. Surprised that Joe is even entertaining the thought of a Kalos themed SM TCG release being relevant when they also just did Sinnoh, and look to be doing different region themes over time. I hope he's being sarcastic; this means absolutely nothing.

i didn't think about it only because of the tweet............ i was thinking about it because game freak want to surprise, and no one will see pokemon z coming.
and zygarde still didn't get a game.

Anything is possible I suppose.

Nintendo DLC, huh? So you want to have random Mario and Zelda stages in Pokemon and random clothes sets to dress as them?

I'm 100% sure that every single suggestion of DLC in Pokemon is just suggesting that content typically found in third version games, like USUM Emerald and Platinum, and potentially the release of new mythicals and mons, be relegated to DLC and other such updates - a cheaper and easier option.

You're just kidding yourself there. You know they will still sell them separately because it makes them more money.
