What makes you say that tho? Even if the game does get announced soon all signs point to March being the earliest. They may announce Zeraora and the new games in the same month, but that seems unlikely
Because the new gens are always revealed 9 months before release. I feel like they want to release these games before black friday

Anyone who is associated with @lavandula is very credible in my book.

This is interesting: http://vgculturehq.com/rumor-nintendo-e3-lineup-leaked-skyward-sword-hd-will-be-shown-at-e3/

This article shows a rumor/leak from a supposed insider who got installation instructions for the setup of games at Nintendo's E3 2018 stage in Los Angeles. Could be fake, could be real. I'm leaning towards fake because the line-up sounds too good to be true and it's also really quite early for E3 leaks. Anyways, among one of the titles that the poster mentioned was Pokémon for the Switch. They just said that Generation 8 would come in two versions. They don't know what the names of the titles will be. It's a little odd to me that they wouldn't know the names of the games either, so that's another reason why I think this is fake. What you think? Is this real or fake? If this is right, it supports your source saying that Pokémon for Switch could debut at E3.

I'm going with this being fake. I think someone is just using the same image and name as the person who revealed the switch. Also E3 isn't for another 4 months, why would they be setting up now. In addition the original leak was shown one day before the switch event went live. And if you look closely you can see that this new rumor has an exclamation mark in it the original leaker didn't have an exclamation mark in it. here is an image for comparison.

I believe my source is the same as one of @lavandula so I'd say they're pretty credible. That said people can make mistakes so as with every rumor take it all with a grain of salt

What are the starters will be like? Does your source says Zeraora have a cute pre-evolution like Zoroark and Lucario has?

They haven't told me anything about the starters other than they apparently will have a gen 5 feel to them. I don't think they've seen them for themselves tho. That's just what they've heard. Also for Zeraora no......I don't need to be told by anyone to tell you that it won't have a pre evolution. It's not like Zoroark. It's a gen 7 mythical Pokemon......... This really needs to stop....It's not a gen 8 Pokemon.........It's a gen 7 mythical like Magearna and Marshadow........

But that doesn't tell me why you think the game will be announced this month. Sure if it's announced this month then a November release would make sense. That said most of what we've heard points to the announcement not happening this month. Only Zeraora being revealed. If it gets announced any other month you're right it'll likely be 9-10 months later for the release. That's why if it gets announced in June at E3 it likely won't be out until Marchish of 2019

Damn, is Gen 5 feel the only thing they mentioned about the starters? I kinda only liked the snivy line look and was not happy with the tepig line or the oshawott line. I kinda just want to know what the starters look like to be honest. I dont really care about the story and everything else but if a leak comes that describes what the starters might look like would leave me satisfied since I like thinking about which starter I would like to start my journey with for the switch game.

That is why I think it will be revealed this month. Also, the mewtwos birthday evolution thing. Its an important day for pokemon. I don't think they would wait until E3 to reveal these games, people are already hyped to see them

Why do sirenas and her sources think it will be South East Asia?

That's all they said. Again like I said above I don't even think they themselves have seen them. That's just what their informant has told them.

If they want an important day to announce the game why not just wait until Pokemon day then? Mewtwo's birthday is too early I think and I think we'd already have a heads up if it was coming that early anyway.

Why do sirenas and her sources think it will be South East Asia?

Why would I know that? She has more than one source. Ask her XD

She said that it was a prediction based on an alchemy-driven theory.

I don't know how likely a Pokemon Day announcement is, but I don't see the problem with Zeraora being revealed just two weeks earlier. Marshadow was pretty much overshadowed by that controversial movie trailer that was released the same day.

At the same time, there is no rule that a new generation needs to be revealed 9 months in advance. For starters, the first real information about BW (Zoroark) was revealed about 7 months ahead, and their logos followed in late April.

At this point I just regret Ishihara telling us about the existence of this game lol.

Me too. Haha. All this speculation, as well as rumors and leaks have been killing me. I personally just want to wait and see what happens but with all this info coming from Lavandula, Desdar300, and a group of people that leaked Team Rainbow Rocket for USUM early, I keep finding myself coming back and wanting more information. Lol. I feel that even if Mr. Ishihara didn't reveal the Pokémon for Switch game at E3 2017 last year, we would still be getting speculation, rumors and leaks for Generation 8 regardless but they wouldn't be as widespread as they are right now.

Agreed on this but I think the biggest concern right now is: "2018, early 2019 or just at some point of 2019?"; and I find it somewhat annoying, hah.
Just give me some info Game Freak. Aaah.

We'll probably get info this year regardless of when the game comes out. Again if the game comes out early next year then the "pre-release season" would still be this year. It'd just be shifted up a bit rather than starting early on and having the game come out this year.

This leak is most likely fake, since think about it: If Yoshi comes out in June, they will not reveal a title at E3 ( E3 is also in June), since they want to build up hype for it. There are also a lot games on here that are rumoured: Pokemon, Bayonetta 3, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem. They are not gonna reveal all those major players at once at E3, since some will get more attention than others, which means they are reveald before E3. I also doubt that Zelda Skyward Swords rumor is true since that one will take attention away from Hyrule Warriors.

The post has already been proven fake from what I understand because the trip code in the post is different from the January 2017 Switch Presentation leak. It's missing a ! mark at the beginning that was in the original leaker's post. In other words, the poster attempted to copy and paste a trip code from a correct leak over a year ago and they didn't do a good job. They also used the same picture from the person who posted the correct leak over a year ago as well as using their username of "Ghost" to make it as convincing as possible. I believed it too for a while until people started pointing the trip code flaw out.

I don't even find surprising Masuda had to say "making the new game is difficult so I hope people don't get their expectations too high". I understand this is something very awful coming from a dev but at the end of the day I just somewhat believe this is not a dumb thing to remark? Some people out there are waiting for a BotW-level game or overhyping themselves just to later on complain how bad is the game.

Exactly, with the stuff people expect and beg for and think they're entitled to (and have for the past few years) only to obviously not get it (or not get it the way they want) and complain afterwards that the games are trash and not worth the money, the man had to say it sooner or later~

Damage control, most likely.
As TheMonster6893 pointed out, we will hear something about the game this year. But, while this is done by pretty much the entire videogame industry, just appearing randomly and telling GF is working on a Switch title without any more information feels...... bad. Especially when USUM was coming. What was the point on doing that, just why?

I feel like a Metroid fan.

There's really nothing bad about Ishihara making that announcement when he did. There's most likely a good reason for why they did it when they did, so with that said I highly doubt that we'll get the first reveal of the titles as late as E3. I also wouldn't say that the Ishihara announcement was random either, because they usually plan and record that stuff a couple weeks in advance or so.

We'll get it in due time, just learn to be patient. Unfortunately, the downside to releasing games year after year since Gen 5 has caused people to be impatient for info dumps and whatnot.
