I could see the starters as being real. I know that there is a lot of debate going on with the coral starter but to me, I can see a little bit of rabbit in the coral starter. I think it’s just because the two branches that come out of its head remind me of a rabbits ears. These are just my thoughts on it, however I like the bear the most. I just think that’s due to my bias towards Grass Pokémon.

Even tho I'm still leaning much more towards fake I'm not sure I see where people are coming from when saying that the water one isn't marketable. I think it's just as cute as the other 2 and all three are just as marketable as every other starter. You may not like the water starer in this rumor, but that doesn't mean it doesn't appeal to people. Also on the note of it not being blue I'd have to disagree. It's not a bright blue or traditional blue shade/tint, but a grey blue shading or tinting does exist. It's just not the explosive blue that every other starter has.

Maybe this will be another roothoot situation

As in, trademarks come out and these starters are real... Just not those designs. Maybe a coincidence

Whatever the case they are where really well designed

Maybe, but Roothoot didn't appear until after the trademarks were found and people were speculating Rowlet would be an owl based on the name. If the person who drew these gets even the general concepts right for the starters then they'll be incredibly lucky.

See, these are the kind of statements that confuse me on this thread. What do you mean by outdated? How can a battle system be outdated? What would make it feel new? ARPG mechanics are older than Pokemon the first ARPG was an arcade game released in 1984.

Edit: sorry if this came off as harsh. I'm not calling out you specifically others have been doing this as well and I'm just trying to understand where your coming from. But when I went back to read it it seemed a little more aggressive then I intended.

Is there a specific reason you consider it outdated? I'm not trying to change your stance on it, there's nothing wrong with your disliking the system. (everyone's allowed their own opinions, after all, and no game system will please everyone) But I don't understand why you used "outdated" to describe it. That seems to imply to me that real-time is the advanced version of turn-based, when they seem to me like different types of games, like comparing board games to card games.
while over games like persona 5 streamlined the whole turn based system so it seems slick and fast pokemon only does minor graphical adjustments to it. You still have the same menus as you did it gen 1. The last major change they did was with the ds and that is already 10 years old.

It was actually before the trademarks that’s why people actually believed in it. Weird owl surfaced on 2ch which is famous for leakers, trademarks call it an owl a few weeks later. With what we got though, the colouring and design of Roothoot is fairly close to Rowlet

While leakers will sometimes go there, you really shouldn't believe everything you see there.

I mean these are the same guys that made a mantis pokemon pure grass instead of bug/grass, especially since it's counterpart is still a bug that on disguises as a plant.

Nope! Lurantis, Fomantis are 'plants' posing as bugs, so the pure Grass typing is very accurate.

We have to be logical here

The leaked 7th gen starters happened after we already knew about Magearna and the 7th gen announcement... having a rumor (Since its a rumor, not a leak), before an actual announcement or reveal via official sources, is kinda dumb. That is why i believe those are fake and that GF hasn't put this out, since it feeds discussion and thus disappointment if it turns out those are not real when the starters are revealed by GF. Until we get Official confirmation, we should class every leak/rumor as fake to avoid disappointment and flack that gen 7 got for some leaks that turned out not to be real (Looking at you Alolan Arcanine)

I remember we first learned of the alolan starters via trademarked names. I wonder if there are any currently.

The thing that I find really suspicious-why would someone take a picture of these hanging on a wall? They've obviously been printed off, so they have to have digital counterparts. Why not just copy the file and post it online instead? It's easier to see someone taking a picture than to see someone copying a file.

I don't get how some people can confirm that something is fake, you don't have enough evidence to confirm it's real nor to confirm it's fake. It's cool to have an opinion but when you say "100% fake" you are doing it wrong. Many people debunked the alolan starters final evolutions and they turned out to be real.

I think the water starter is the cutest actually. It kind of looks like a ghost bunny to me.

But I think they’re fake. To me they jsut don’t look like they belong, at least not as starters. I could clearly be wrong but. I also just don’t really like the grass and fire ones.

Those starters are probably fake, which is a shame because the bear and horse are really cute and the coral is actually quite unique compared to the other water starters. I also have to applaud whoever made them. Leaked starters (and leaked 'new Pokemon' in general) usually look like something you would find on deviantart and they scream fake from a get-go. I actually believed for a second that this might be legit and, aside from the problematic word order, I still don't see anything that seems off about them. Kudos to the creator of these, would definitely like to see more.
