Either way, whether this is more of a Pokemon Go style remake like LGPE was or a full remake a la ORAS, I have a feeling that I'll get bored of the Sinnoh remakes within a few months of playing them much like how I got bored with ORAS after 2 and a half months. Recent games just have very poor replay value imo.

Same for mobile games. Video Games today have gotten bloated by microtransactionings and gacha style trinkets cough Crash Team cough Overwatch cough Masters cough

Keep this us and one day we will have a Video Game Crash that makes the 1983 one look like a smashed window to an already dilapidated and abandoned apartment that's sceduled for demolition.

I don't think there'll be another video game crash anytime soon. Microtransaction-riddled mobile games are awfully successful, just look at GO, and I'd say few people outside of hardcore gaming circles really care about that sort of thing, for example. I mean microtransactions are constantly criticized but games that feature them continue to be successful. Beyond just that, I don't really see a sharp enough drop in game quality that would dissuade more "casual" players. Hasn't there been a couple examples of hardcore gamers decrying a game, calling for boycotts and such, and it winds up being successful despite the backlash?

Also I'm pretty sure a Video Game Crash would not do well for the global economy, considering how big the gaming industry is compared to back in 1983.

yet where does that money come from? Some people don't even have that kind of money, and if they have a gambling problem? well... there's the kicker and concern that we should be wary of.

Yeah a real moral conundrum we've got here.

Strangely we don't seem to bring up the problem with casinos all too often.

People say that Gacha Games and similar is not gambling, but yet it acts like gambling. Especially to children where it is illegal, and already some governments are trying to introduce strict laws by which the game companies try fighting tooth and nail to stop.

Just saw a fake leak that stated the Gen 4 Remake having Megas and Z-Moves back, which is highly doubtful at this point since Gen 8 has gotten rid of those, and each Gen remake always coincide with the gimmick to that specific Gen, like FRLG had similar gimmick to RSE, HGSS had to DPPt, ORAS had to XY, LGPE had to SMUSUM.

That's not true because LGPE didn't have Z-Moves in it.

I'm finding it doubtful that trainer customization will return in these hypothetical games.

LGPE has customization despite being super faithful to a game that lacked it so I think it’s possible we’ll see customization in our hypothetical DPPt remakes, though it’ll probably be rather simplified just like in LGPE.

I don't think it makes a lot of sense to use anything that LGPE did as a yardstick for the future. They're very clearly not made in the vein of "typical" remakes. They're closer to a standalone experiment than an actual, formal part of "Gen 7." We've just come to file it in that particular cabinet for some sake of simplicity.

Diamond is the male player
Pearl is the Rival
Platinum is the female player

As for ORAS, I remember seeing in one route where when you see My Chimney in the distance, is just a canvas wall, as if this is all taking place within a building.

Perhaps with the Gen 4 Remake, they will hugely improve with the Gen 8 world-like scene.
You're correct. Forget it...I was thinking of Dawn in her Platinum (game) outfit and somehow, due to the colour it and her cuteness it came out as "Pearl".

I have a 2DS so I can't speak for sure about that canvas, but I suppose that it was to show off 3D effects (I believe you mention the one from the intro and that is just north of Oldale town.

I'm fine with the mart and center being separate in this remake, I mean, it didn't bother me in ORAS at all.
I always prefer to have a separate Center and Mart so that I can hear the Mart's cheerful music.

Same. I prefer it over Emerald, mostly because, aside from the Battle Frontier (that I don't care about), it really doesn't have much against ORAS.

In my case and namely after seeing how HGSS was a remake of GS but with elements from Crystal that make sense, for example, the Burned Tower exterior look, I just find that ASOR wasn't as good as Emerald, namely because I always think that it's dumb for T.Magma to have their base in Lilycove instead of Mt. Chimney.

Yes, but at the same time, they gave personalities to the team leaders instead of being sprite swaps of each other, and there was someone that actually tried to warn Archie/Maxie instead of leaving them causing the end of the world out of pure stupidity, Wally got much stronger (and his own theme), Soaring was cool, you could catch Deoxys without having to worry about trades/time limited DLC, and the fact that Steel doesn't resist Dark and Ghost anymore are pluses.

nd yet

And yet Wally got hidden away in the Battle Chateau, instead of a Battle Frontier we got a miniature that you could look at, Secret Bases that had not that much novelty in content and instead of a spooky experience, we got a eco-Sea Mauville tied with Infinite Energy (where's N when we need it..oh yes, we also got a new character and tribe that could have been deepened but weren't). We got a sexy gipsy theat hangs around with the bad-looking leader and the Aqua Hulk and for Magma, the Emo-chic, the fat boy and the geek, aka The Rejected.
