Generation IV Remake Speculation

Oh yes! A DS main series Pokemon game is finally being remade!

Let's refrain from using the term remake and accept the games for what they are: they are ports, not remakes.

Overworld and chibi models are goofy looking I agree, but I'm a little confused about the starter choices for Legends, I mean, I get Oshawott being a starter on account of its evolved form being a samurai but the other two seem a bit random lol.

Decidueye is an archer, so maybe that? I'm not sure why Typhlosion.

Emboar looks more like feudal-type Pokémon to me at least.

Just like with SwSh, I'll only be buying one game, Brilliant Diamond. Legends is a HARD buy though, holyyyyy.

Legends be like "We gave you BoTW Pokemon but at the cost of framerates."

Yeah, the Chingling looks particularly bad. Hopefully it'll be fixed.

Also, they'll probably have at least the Platinum Pokédex in BDSP, because Porygon-Z appears towards the end.

Let's hope that even though they said ``faithful remakes'' that they'll fix the absurdly slow surfing of DP.

I don't think I'll feel excited for BDSP until they reveal something that's not in the original. Back when A Link Between Worlds was announced, I though, "meh, I'm not that big on A Link to the Past"... until the trailer that revealed Hilda.

Not a fan of switching art styles between the chibi style in cutscenes and the full-body style in the battles and while I understand wanting to keep these as close as possible to the originals. However, I would've preferred the game have the full body style throughout the entire game as the Arceus game will have.
