Geo Strata Tourney (Sign-Ups Closed)

[Infinity Storm]

A few months ago, in an area near Mt.Coronet in Sinnoh, construction began on what appeared to be a massive complex. It was unknown to most who was funding it, and more importantly why he was having it built.

A few weeks ago, construction was finally completed. The complex, dubbed the Geo Strata Complex, contains semi-artificial adaptations of most of the enviroments of the world in its many arenas. It contains Tundra, Pond, Mountainous, Volcanic, Forest, Grassland, Desert, and Urban battle fields in it.

Its owner, now revealed to be James Sovner, has sent invitations to many top trainers from all over, including in other regions, to attend his grand tournament, which is to take place at this very complex.



Ok this is going to be a tournament RP, slightly different from most others however. I will be accepting 18 Tournament Entrants, and I may allow other types of characters later on. However, for now, I only will allow Tournament Entrants as characters.

Each of your trainers will be having a battle, the opponent being randomly selected, on one of the terrain-themed arenas in the complex. There are also dorms in the complex, as this will be at least a week-and-a-half long tournament.

Personality: Keitaro trains his Pokémon with care and patience, like most Trainers. In battle, he is ruthless, seeking to exploit his opponent's every weakness to his advantage. He doesn't much care when he loses, but if he is stacked against unfair odds he won't often give it his all. Keitaro has a secluded personality, talking only when needed and never with superfluous information. Incompetence irks him, especially if done deliberately. If truly angered, he has trouble controlling his temper. He is also quirky, having some odd habits that are noticable, but rarely change the tide of battle.
Background: Keitaro grew up in Johto. At age ten, he set off on a Pokémon journey, and by age 12 he had conquered the Johto Elite Four and become a semi-finalist in the Johto League and Indigo Plateau. He went on to become a finalist in the Sinnoh League, and completed the Unova Gym Challenge. After gaining a large fanbase, he took a vacation from travelling. This is when he received a peculiar invitation...

He decided his true calling was battling, which he had always preferred to coordinating, and traveled to his mother's home region on a Sparrow 508 passenger aircraft to take on the Unova League. He lost in a battle with Alder when Bulk, his Tyranitar, was defeated by Alder's Volcarona's clever use of Bug type moves. Appearance: Tyler had straight black colored hair along with a pair of brown colored eyes and white skin. He is a little shorter for his age but doesn't pay too much attention to it. Personality: Tyler has a confident and cheerful personality, while he isn't completely playful he pretty much acts carefree most of the time. Background: Tyler was born in Castelia City and lived there his whole life. Because of that he's used to the big city life style and even when he was journeying he had a lot of trouble with sleeping in woods or dirt.
