Pokémon Masters EX is getting a bit catty this week with the return of Giovanni & Persian's Special Sync Pair Event. Running alongside this is Meow Meow Meow!, a special take on the usual Egg events giving trainers the opportunity to hatch eggs for each of the three forms of Meowth. Both events will be running through until mid-March.

Sync Pair-Up Event: Giovanni & Persian
This special sync pair event allows players to team-up with an exclusive Sync Pair, Giovanni & Persian, a Normal-type Support role pair featuring an expanded sync grid, and the ability to be raised to 6★ EX. This event is live in-game now, and will remain available until March 17th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Giovanni & Persian can be aquired by players at 4★ rarity simply by completing the first Story area of the event. By completing stages in this event, players will be rewarded with Event Voucher W items, which can be redeemed in the shop for 4★ Power-Up items to increase the pair's move level and potential, along with Sync Orbs, and other items. All rewards can be claimed even if players have previously completed the event during its original run, and leftover custom power-ups and Sync Orbs can be traded for generic Power-Ups and Co-op Sync Orbs, though in reduced quantities.

Meow Meow Meow!
In this somewhat unusual variant of the typical egg event, players will be able to receive Eggs from Professor Bellis that will hatch into one of Meowth's three alternative forms. This event is available in-game now, and will continue through to March 14th at 9:59pm (PST). During this time, players will only receive eggs by completing missions from this Meow Meow Meow! event, and will not receive Eggs for completing other areas.

One limited-time incubator will also be added to Bellis's Lab for the duration of this event. If an Egg is still in the limited-time incubator when the event ends, the limited-time incubator will remain active until that Egg hatches.

As usual for events of this type, several special missions will be available during the event period. Players will have an increased chance of receiving Eggs if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs are placed in the lineup, the higher the Egg reward rate will be. The applicable Sync Pairs and Egg reward rates are as follows:
  • Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type Main Character Sync Sairs: +80% (×1.8) Egg Reward Rate
  • Main Character Sync Pairs: +40% (×1.4) Egg Reward Rate
  • Other Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type-type Sync Pairs: +20% Egg Reward Rate (×1.2)
These bonuses stack additively, so having 1 Main Character Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type Sync Pair, and two other Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type sync pairs would give a combined bonus of +120% (x2.2)

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • Players cannot receive Eggs from Professor Bellis by completing areas outside of this event during this event period.
