GLORY ROW
Welcome to Glory Row, a Pokémon RP. This, like the source material, revolves around the concept of using magical pets to beat up other people's pets to steal their money.
You play a Trainer, and have all the things that come with being one. However, unlike the source material, Pokémon training has its limits. Your character has the legal right to have up to six Pokémon, something only the most qualified can have in society.
Beyond that caveat, this world operates much like you would expect a Pokémon world to; people breed, battle, have contests, and work in fields related to them. In the beginning, your Trainer has come to participate in the Glory Row Festival - a gathering for people to have fun, battle, trade, and generally have a great time.
In short, the system is an in-universe technology that makes it so that a person can only capture a certain number of Pokémon based on whatever their limit is. When a PokéBall is used and captures a Pokémon, it gets registered. If you reach your maximum, all PokéBalls attempted to be registered will not work for the person.
There isn't a very public criteria for how to raise your maximum, but social status definitely factors into it.
The system is a legal thing; it was with the intention to stop plucky ten year olds and people of less scruples from having a full team of six monsters of absolute destruction.
General rules of thumb:

General rules of thumb:
- You can catch up to a certain amount. Anything beyond that amount can't be caught or trained.
- The system is definitely an indicator of social status. 1 is the lowest, 6 is the highest, officially.
- Pokémon caught with the registered PokéBalls are almost invariably grow quicker and can become far more powerful than both wild and other types of Pokémon.
- All BMGf rules, and Roleplaying Section, rules apply here.
- If you want to make an antagonistic character, you're free to.
- No godmodding or auto-hitting.
- No Legendaries. Please.
