Sweet.

Has there been any significant news besides Kurt's pokeballs and Kantou?

!

1: Saw it, and not surprised. It's a pidgey. It can fly.
2: Well, if you want level 10 pokemon on the first route, be my guest.

Aren't they supposed to be low level?

The GSC-like Kanto quest, though not very long, could be easily labelled as "New Adventure" for advertisement reasons. I think that seeing some kind of bigger plan here is an overhype.

Ditto. This is the same franchise that advertises old Pokemon as "New Pokemon" constantly, so . . .

Just means you can't train properly like the original games. And think about it, if you are going to battle Brock whose Pokemon are at level 50+. Would it make sense for the wild Pokemon to only be at level 10? Especially since you were at Blackthorn City at one point where the wild Pokemon are in their 30's.

But it is a Johto Pidgey on Route 29. Its level has to be low.

Kanto is still a region where various kids begin their adventures.

It can't be stuffed with ultrastrong Pokemon, otherwise there wouldn't be any successful Trainers in Kanto at all.

How the hell are the beginner trainers supposed to beat the gym leaders then?

What? Do the trainers stay in the grasses for years, getting 27 experience points per Pokemon, and however many matches (Probably in the thousands) it takes to get to level 50? That's almost 6000 battles with 27 experience points gained.

lol level 5 bulbasaur vs Level 40 pidgey

More like level 5 Bulbasaur vs Level 44 Onix.

Actually it's less than 27.

And if the levels are low on Route 1, as they have always been, the only successful trainers in Kanto will have to be from Pallet Town or Viridian City.

A Level 10 Pidgey gives you 78 Experience Points, and at level 4, it surpasses the 27 experience points. Even at level 3 its really close at 23. I only chose 27 experience points as a random low number guess. In fact Rattata, Pidgey, and Caterpie, all give you more than 27 experience points at level 4. Same with Clefairy at level 4.

Edit: Besides I don't care how they explain it.

Random NPC: Wild Pokemon in Kanto seem stronger when Johto natives battle them. It's odd they seem higher leveled than when Kanto trainers battle them.

I realized something.

There is a DVD with 10 minutes promo video available in Japan since a week or so and we STILL haven't seen it.

WTF, honestly?

Really, no one knows a neighbor's cousin, whose friend was in Japan and met a guy whose friend's girlfriend's neighbor rented that DVD?

I think that people should do literally EVERYTHING to get that video and leak it to the net. After all we're in the final stage of PRERELEASE OVERHYPE!

Nice try but... no.

Funny how no one bothers to explain how a level 5-10 starter Pokemon can beat a level 44 Onix, and upward that is Gym Leader Pokemon.

Instead of explaining that, they just say No, to higher leveled wild Pokemon.

Besides from Gold and New Girl's perspective, from their own perspective, why should the wild Pokemon in Kanto be so weak? Especially after the high level wild Pokemon they saw near Blackthorn City.

There is a chance that the 10 minutes were made up with previous footage already shown and the rest being made up with the new trailer.
