Funny how no one bothers to explain how a level 5-10 starter Pokemon can beat a level 44 Onix, and upward that is Gym Leader Pokemon.

Of course, Gym Leaders have many Pokemon. And they don't sent out their strongest ones against beginning Trainers. That's how I see it, anyway.

Trainer Pokemon are certainly easier to excuse than Wild ones.

Anyway, I was looking at the latest vid from official site and trying to find out which PokeCenter was that in the video. And... I found a PokeCenter with exactly same NPCs (Female Cooltrainer, Pokefan and Glasses Guy) - that's Ecruteak Pokecenter. Yep, that's where you met Bill for the first time. And I bet that the stairs lead you to the Time Capsule, which works as a Pal Park.

There is a chance that the 10 minutes were made up with previous footage already shown and the rest being made up with the new trailer.

You never know if you haven't seen the video. And I'm pretty sure that it shows at least two never-before-seen scenes.

I want to see it anyway.

I think that it's stupid to assume that the video consists of already known footage only. It should be leaked after all.

Not to mention that even if we don't see anything new, we might HEAR something new. It's just as important to me.

The fact that it hasn't been leeked yet probably means there is nothing special on it.

No. That's probably because Japanese fans aren't obsessive Pokenerds like us, trying to hunt down every piece of official coverage. Their fandom is completely different.

And I don't really believe that there could be completely nothing new in it. Unless it's some compilation of previous videos, there almost certainly is something new, at least the music (which is very important).

Wouldn't it be better to just wait until the release? Time will tell. After all, I'm not that obsessive of a Pokénerd.

If I can choose, to find something sooner or later, I choose sooner.

I'm the person that likes being spoiled.

Don't want spoilers? Don't watch prerelease vids. Me and many other people want to see that vid.

I like to be spoiled by everything that's pre-release. But I'm not going to watch any YouTube videos about HGSS after the Japanese release before I've had my own English copy of the game in my hands.

Sorry, I can't help you. You'll have to wait until someone leaks the promo vid anyway.

The customizable Safari Zone?

The Battle Frontier
along with the Berry Planter and other Apricorn uses?
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA??
*back to the official site*

Maxim, I wouldn't worry about the footage on the DVD, if there's anything new that we haven't seen there's only 24 days and 12 hours until HGSS official release, and it might get leaked early like platinum ;3
I'll be playing it as soon as it's out, so I'll (probably) post anything majorly important.

We're arguing... over levels...

Guys, on route 29 (I think that's it) the pokemon are supposed to be low level. They're ALWAYS low level. Because you only have low level pokemon. For like the first 20 minutes (if you're me) you only have one pokemon. Why do you guys object to the level 3 Pidgey.

And have we seen any pokemon in Kanto? I don't think so.

Im sure Gym Leaders have different teams. I mean do you think Brock became Gym Leader by battling with Lv12 Geodude? :nono:

Since Pidgey had a new sprite (which was very similar to the GSC sprite), Im currently wondering what Charizard's new sprite will be like....

My thoughts exactly.

Come on, levels matter a little bit. It's just a topic to discuss anyways since there's almost nothing else.

I mean, they have to make the levels challenging for players after Johto, but they also need to balance it out with the needs for lower-leveled pokemon in some areas. Then there are the gym leaders, who are affected by this too.

I mean, out of all of the gym leaders in GSC, Janine had the most pathetic levels.

I was talking about the routes in Kanto not Johto, the routes in Johto make sense, because that's where you start at, but you don't start in Kanto in HGSS.

And I believe this started with the level 8 Clefairy, which given the fact it was shown in the Kanto part of the video, likely that its a wild Pokemon in Kanto and a really low level is a put off.

Oh, I won't argue levels aren't important, but when it descends to arguing over beginning route levels? That reaches a point that's beyond bizarre.

I agree, levels could be raised in places. HGSS would look rather weird being the only pokemon games recently to have such low level pokemon. The same applies for gym leaders.

and dman dustin... I forgot the Clefairy.

But really, is it that big a problem? That late in the game wild pokemon would have to be hitting the 50's in order to give decent amounts of experience. Frankly, I say raise trainer levels and maybe tweak wild levels a bit.

Its stupid arguing over levels of pokemon on starting routes. These routes are not meant to have high levels, but places like Victory road or mt silver etc... are meant to have higher level pokemon

I have Crystal, and my Pokemon are at Level 45, at the highest, and even though I beat the Elite Four and the Kanto Gym Leaders, still Level 45 is way too low, and I can't really train properly, there's the Elite Four, but that would get boring fast. I don't expect wild Pokemon to be at level 60+ but seriously it shouldn't downgrade after you leave Johto. Couldn't it be consistent with the levels of wild Pokemon in the Sevii Islands and The Battle Zone in comparison to the starting region area.

Well, now that we have the option to rebattle a lot more often, I think it will be easier to gain levels.

i remember during my last playthrough on Crystal, my Pokémon's levels were around 55 after beating the Elite Four. However, after completing Kanto, the levels of my team Pokémon hadn't even reached 60 yet. And then there's Red, whose Pokémon were suddenly 20 levels higher than all the rest. Which I didn't mind, because it was the only battle in the whole game that was a little bit of a challenge.
