I compared the two battle halls and they are exactly the same except for sprites and whatnot (There's a slowbro of all things)

The issue is this, and it's actually starting to worry me. I'm looking at the image of the battle frontier (the one where the cloud got removed) and the battle hall, if it's in the same place, is behind what's left of the cloud. Meanwhile, there's a grey spot right where the castle would be, assuming the castle is back.

But then again, the image quality of that edited one is rather bad, so maybe I've been thinking way to hard on this. And the arcade doesn't appear on the map so yeah... this is all so confusing.

As for the weather trio, they appear to be at the bottom of some kind of pit. Makes me think that this might be the Cerulean Cave. But that's all I have to go on. It's not the Volcano (the greenery tells us that) and actually, they appear to be the same place for all three.

Does anyone know where it might be? does not look like any area in Hoenn, but I am still assuming that Hoenn is not in the games

The BF, the Shinto Ruins, or the Weather Trio Spots?

If you meant the BF, it's in the same spot it was in Crystal. (Route 30, I think.)

It's unknown where the Shinto Ruins are located, but I'm assuming it's either in Mt. Silver or the Ruins of Alph.

No clue about the Weather Trio. Probably random places throughout the Kanto-Johto landmass.

He's talking about the Weather Trio pit.

I really don't care much about the Battle Frontier in HGSS. I think it was UL who said that it's probably an exact duplicate so it would still be compatible with Platinum. I think that's a good enough excuse. Besides, I probably won't visit the Battle Frontier more than once or twice.

Though I would really like it if we took a boat to Sinnoh.

see, i thought about that earlier. but... i wasn't sure if they mentioned that this facility, the battle hall, is located in johto. that's why i didn't say anything, because i assumed it was. and i still am. but yeah, i do think that if they... *sigh* no. it's hard to imagine and it'd be hard to understand, if we went back to sinnoh.

We could go with the theory that the Frontier Brains travel between regions when they hear a trainer is doing well and stick around after they've been beaten once.

That's one hell of a commute.

That's one hell of a commute.

If Mike Huckabee can travel between New York and Arkansas every other week, I think the Brains can manage to make a trip for that one-in-a-thousand trainer. There are a number of people who do less practical things.

No one explicitly said so, but we saw the Battle Hall on the website, so it's likely.

It's unlikely, but the Battle Hall could just be a returning Facility like the Factory probably will be.
thats what i think. The factory was in all frontiers so far and maybe the hall will be joining it.

this facility is in Johto. So no boat.

too bad, that would've been cool =( But on the map, after the clouds moved i saw the tower and a domed buiding. was the battle dome in platinum? i dont remember. What if the johto frontier was actually a joining of the hoenn and sinoh one? i could appriciate that, even if it was the same people.

And jasmine's gym only showed the spot where you fight her. maybe they added trainners or some big puzzle leading up to her.kinda like the floors in juans gym and rayquazas tower? but on a sorta unrelated note, they showed at least part of her sprite they didnt change: i saw her orange bows in her hair!

Just thinking, maybe the Sinnoh BF and Johto BF are made by the same company? B/c Scott does not own the the Sinnoh one I think I brung that up once. But like what Shinx3000 said, HGSS might have been planned to be released before Platinum. Like the formula in Gen 3.

I think its funny that even with the Apricorn and NE Pichu, that they are bothering to make HGSS and Platinum compatible through WiFi and BF. Because I saw the HGSS WiFi Plaza and the GTS and they look identical to the ones in platinum with maybe a few exceptions here and there (Such as Sprites).

Why let Platinum's servers go to waste? =P Same principle applies to the oh-so-young Wi-fi Plaza.

Well pokemon games have never been fully incompatible with other main games in that generation, why would it change now?

I'm just saying I think it's ridiculous that they are so similar that they didn't even bother to make them more compatible then they are. I know HGSS is supposed to be a little different (like Platinum is to Diamond and Pearl) but still, it's just a little baffling that they didn't go that extra mile in platinum to make it even more compatible.

Edit: Besides why does the GTS need to be so damn similar? Especially since it's very unlike the BF and WiFi. It didn't need to a clone. The terminals could've been the same but they could've at least made it aesthetically different.

The number of people transferring VS. Recorder data to the servers probably isn't sufficient enough to continue paying for while Platinum sales drop when HGSS comes out. Also, it's a very nifty feature. As for the Frontier, it isn't even a year old.

You're complaining about the aesthetics of the Global Terminal of all things? That's like complaining about two grocery stores of the same name. They have better things to develop than something that's already WELL-MADE.

Personally I don't care about the BF. I never really got into them and I didn't even expect one to be in HGSS. As long as the game itself is great it doesn't matter to me whether a BF is in or not. That's my opinion about this debate.

Speaking of HGSS I hope we get to see more artwork, especially gym leader art. Now with that said you can continue on the BF topic.
