It has to be the Sinnoh frontier full on. Compatibility with Platinum has to be heavily thought of and it is the only explanation.
The Frontier Brains are only seen in Single mode, which has nothing to do with the Multi Battle mode where Platinum compatibility comes into play.It has to be the Sinnoh frontier full on. Compatibility with Platinum has to be heavily thought of and it is the only explanation.

The point about the VS Recorder is also moot, as it is analogous to saying that Lucas and Dawn have to be the HGSS players.
Before the games were announced, I had posted a theory about a potential plot involving Mewtwo and Red, but I hadn't gotten around to Leaf and Deoxys. But now that Mewtwo has practically been confirmed to be catchable at level 50 for the WCS event, I'm afraid that Red can't have Mewtwo in his possession. It is still possible for Red to be acknowledged as Mewtwo's previous owner, though.BTW, Unown Lord, did you ever explain Red and Leaf having Mewtwo and Deoxys? I've forgotten, this thread is too long.
It would be a change of topic, which I think we need. :/

If you're interested, we can discuss this via PMs. I remember what happened the last time I brought up Mewtwo and Mr. Fuji's backstory; most of the members here don't have patience for that sort of thing.
Ah, right. Shame. PM????? I'm confused. I'm a complete technophobe - I'd like to, but how would we do that? Sorry.

with the additional advantage pointed out by UL (compatibility wuth Pt for tag battles), even if the move was a little bit lazy.
Then, the problem is, how will the Platinum player see the HGSS player? Maybe Miki is Dawn, not Kris?
Anyways, though I wouldn't like the idea of HGSS sharing Platinum's Brains, it wouldn't hurt me to much in terms of story, since, as far as I'm concerned, the Battle Frontiers are made for competitive battling and therefore not part of the storyline. With that in mind, I comprehend why Game Freak didn't bother to change them , with the additional advantage pointed out by UL (compatibility wuth Pt for tag battles), even if the move was a little bit lazy.
If the wifi or wireless battles on frontier are like they are in D/P/Pt, you'll oly see what the player chose themselves to be "Ace traiener" "Nerd" "School girl/boy" "Psychic" so you would not see them as "Gold/Kris" etc...
If my idea that HGSS was meant to be released before Platinum and Sinnoh only was ever meant to have the Battle Tower, it could work have Platinum brains in Johto BF as my idea suggests that there was never meant to be a BF in Sinnoh, but Palmer being brain of the Battle Tower also backs up my theory of the games time line HGSS was supposed to be connected with D/P timeline, not Platinum one and if all Platinum brains except Palmer are in HGSS, would kinda of prove my theory. Also if a brain went from Sinnoh to Johto BF and someone was waiting in Sinnoh to battle one, wouldn't they feel a bit pissed not getting to for a while, plus thats a long comute, why not just stay in one place?
Still, it's only optional. And it's only how you see your Wi-Fi player opponent, the backsprite is still the hero.
I don't see your theory working. At all.
And even if they planned to release the game prior to Platinum, it's still not a reason to put the exact same BF. They had time to fix everything, so they could simply delete all the leftovers of "pre-Platinum HGSS" to make it fit the release dates. Scrapped plans are never a reason to screw the game up.
Your theory isn't viable at all.
The Laziness if FAIL; but at least this is still the greatest Pokemon game ever. :3
I was still hoping for customizable sprites, but I guess that's for next gen.

Still thats still does not say that they had any reason to change the BF at all and if the game storyline was set with the D/P storyline not the Platinum one, nothing gets screwed up. Everything that is needed to show the two storylines working is there in D/P. The hiker saying about the egg in hearthome, obtaining the Eevee and saying about the breeder who breeds them, and the red garaydos even shown on the TV at start is there.
Just because they didn't change the BF in Johto does not mean they had to change it. If the timeine as I stated was based on D/P and D/P only had the Battle Tower, what screws up with the storylines then?
Sure a couple of things were added in Platinum, but that does not change the storylines between HGSS and Sinnoh at all. The only thing that changed was that the birds were added to Platinum, the other stuff isn't necessary like the camera guy who filmed the red garaydos and the ragecandybars in veilstone department store basement don't alter the HGSS/Sinnoh timeline, it still remains the same as it did in D/P. Only main difference is that the player meets the camera guy instead of seeing the footage at the start of the game and that does not mean any time was changed for Platinum, they could have put the camera guy in D/P orginally and it still would not alter you seeing the red garaydos at start of game cause it could have been filmed, and the guy came to sinnoh and while he did, the footage was shown.
